‘DINOSAUR KING’ MAGSISIMULA NA SA TEAM ANIMAZING NG ABS-CBN
Magbabalik na ang mga dinosaur, hindi sa lupa, kung hindi sa telebisyon kasama pa ang tatlong bagong bidang kids na na tiyak susubaybayan mo tuwing umaga sa "Dinosaur King," simula ngayong Lunes (May 28) sa ABS-CBN.
Matatalik na magkakaibigan sina Max, Rex, at Zoe at tulad ng ibang kabataan, nais lang nila magsaya at mag-bonding ng magkakasama. Ngunit lingid sa kanilang kaalaman na isang malaking adventure ang naghihintay sa kanila matapos nilang matagpuan ang mga card na nagiging dinosaurs sa kagubatan.
Una'y animo'y mga bagong alaga lang ang kanilang nahanap pero ang mga dinosaur na ito ay nangangailangan pala ng kanilang tulong dahil ikinulong sila at iba pa nilang kauri sa naturang cards ng isang misteryosong grupo na kung tawagin ay Alpha Gang. Ang naturang grupo ay hangad na makumpleto ang lahat ng dinosaur cards para hirangin silang 'dinosaur king' at maghasik ng lagim sa sanlibutan.
Kaya naman ang misyon nina Max, Rex, ay Zoe ay maunahan ang Alpha Gang na makuha ang mga card at maisalba sa kapahamakan ang mga kapwa dinosaur ng kanilang bagong mga kaibigan.
Magtagumpay kaya sila sa kanilang misyon? Sino ang tatanghaling "Dinosaur King?"
Ang "Dinosaur King" ay programa ng ABS-CBN sa ilalim ng kanilang "Bida Best Kid" campaign na naglalayong himukin ang mga batang Pinoy na maging 'da best' sa anumang larangan at abutin ang kanilang mga pangarap. Tulad nina Max, Rex, at Zoe, ang kabataang Pinoy ay mahilig tumuklas ng mga bagong bagay at matapang na sumasabak sa mga adventure.

Basketball Wives or Bad Girls Club? Lately, it’s been a little hard to tell. And even Royce Reed is also pretty embarrassed about the things going on on her VH1 reality show, and she’s letting her co-stars know that the prank they pulled on Kenya Bell in Tahiti “wasn’t not funny!”.
“I’m not saying I’m perfect but even I didn’t find it funny to put dead fish in someone’s room,” Reed writes in her VH1 blog. “One could understand (kinda) if we were in high school, even college, to hide eggs in someone’s locker or dorm room as a ritual for a freshman or neophyte member of the cheerleading squad or dance team. But to take chum into a five-star resort bungalow and hide it in places even the housekeepers wouldn’t be able to clean is ignorant and disrespectful. Not disrespectful to Kenya alone, but to the island as well as the resort.
“It was tasteless and nothing anyone can say will make that situation ‘funny’ or okay,” Royce continues, making a point to remind everyone “how much money was spent on that cleanup and not one of them gave a damn because it wasn’t on their dime.”

The Hatfields & Mccoys - a Bloody Interpretation of 18th Century Civil War
History Channel debuted a miniseries created for viewers waiting to see real blood, guts, and paranoia on TV - Hatfields & McCoys.
Hatfields & McCoys stars stars Kevin Costner as patriarch ‘Devil’ Anse Hatfield and Bill Paxton as counterpart Randall McCoy. Tom Berenger, on the other hand, is the terrifying Jim Vance, member of an ex-Confederate mafia and Anse’s uncle.
In the 18th century, the real Hatfields settled in the West Virginia side of Tug Fork, a tributary along the Big Sandy River. The real McCoys had settled in the Kentucky side roughly a decade earlier. A hundred years later, most of the Hatfield males set off to fight on the Confederate side of the War Between the States; a few McCoys joined the Union army. It’s likely this was the beginning of very hard feelings.
By most accounts, there are six main points of contention that brought these two families to bloody blows over the years during and following the Civil War – none of which could be made up by even the best creative executives. The first notable violent episode occurred in 1865, when an ex-Confederate league called ‘The Wildcats’ murdered Asa Harmon McCoy. At first, valley residents thought Anse Hatfield did it, but it was later determined that his uncle Vance had done it. (I will be interested to see how this is done onscreen, since the few details available in history sources recount a very creepy hunt-and-trap narrative.)
Over the next twenty years, land disputes, hog ownership fights, election poll conflicts, and vengeance for everything in between would take the lives of at least a dozen members of each family. There’s even a Romeo and Juliet story of sorts. Young Roseanna McCoy, played by the beautiful Lindsay Pulsipher, got involved with Johnse Hatfield (Matt Barr). She became pregnant, and was abandoned by Hatfield, who later married her cousin. The feud escalated to the point where the governors of both Kentucky and West Virginia became involved, and eventually, the Supreme Court of the United States.

Derek Ramsay Named TV5's Sports Ambassador to 2012 London Olympics
TV5’s top management led by Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, President and CEO Atty. Ray C. Espinosa and Executive Vice President and COO Roberto V. Barreiro have expressed their support for the network’s official sports ambassador Derek Ramsay at the upcoming London Olympics 2012.
In a contract signing held at the First Pacific Leadership Academy recently, the TV5 big bosses underscored Derek’s crucial role in the network’s goal to inspire more Filipinos to engage in sports. Derek is slated to lead the TV5 delegation in London this July to deliver the most important highlights of all sporting events in the Olympics, especially the fate of Filipino athletes there. But before his network ambassador duties in London, Derek is poised to give his all in hosting The Amazing Race Philippines, the world’s most-awarded reality show that is set to make waves in Philippine TV later this year. After the debut of the “Rain” banners last week, Warner Bros. now shares three character banners for Christopher Nolan's “The Dark Knight Rises.”
The banners again individually feature Batman, Catwoman and Bane in what the studio calls “Snow” series.
Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar® winner Christian Bale again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake.
Returning to the main cast, Oscar® winner Michael Caine plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Legendary Pictures. Slated for release beginning July 19, 2012, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

American Idol Runners-up: Where are they now?
With the loss of American-Mexican-Pinay contestant Jessica Sanchez on "American Idol, Season 11," many of her supporters are consoling themselves with the idea that the show's runners-up do better than some of the winners post-"Idol." But is this based on fact or mere wishful thinking?
Let's look at the careers of the American Idol Runners-up in the past 10 seasons.
Justin Guarini (Season 1)
Lost to: Kelly Clarkson
Where is he now: The curly-haired lanky crooner was the early favorite before Clarkson transformed into a contender. After “Idol,” Guarini and Clarkson starred in the cheesy flop "From Justin To Kelly.” Guarini’s self-titled debuted album sold only 134,000 copies and he was quickly dropped by RCA Records. His succeeding albums were independently produced and released by his own production company. He also found a career as a commentator on the TV Guide Network, and most recently, moved to Broadway, where he made his stage debut in the short-lived “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.” He was also in “American Idiot,” until its closure last year.
Who wins: Kelly Clarkson by a mile
Clay Aiken (Season 2)
Lost to: Ruben Studdard
Where is he now: After what is widely considered as the closest “Idol” finale ever, Aiken’s post-show career took off immediately with the release of his multi-platinum debut album “Measure of a Man,” which sold 613,000 copies in its first week. He was able to release four more albums with RCA, including a best-selling Christmas CD, before signing with Decca Records, which released two albums, including “Steadfast” last March. Aiken launched several tours, including one with Studdard, and even penned the best-selling book “Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life.” He also made his Broadway debut in “Spamalot.” He also confirmed that he is gay in September 2008, ending years of speculation.
Who wins: While Studdard also posted high numbers for his debut album, Aiken proved to have staying power, long after his “Idol” appearance
Diana DeGarmo (Season 3)
Lost to: Fantasia Barrino
Where is she now: DeGarmo was the clear underdog in the finals -- and after the show. Her debut album “Blue Skies” sold only 168,000 copies. She made a shift to country music, even relocating to Nashville, but was only able to produce an EP that’s available at online stores and during her live shows. She eventually found her career in musical theater. She made her Broadway debut in “Hairspray,” and was set to star in Broadway revival of “Godspell,” which didn’t push through. She also appeared in the LA production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” with “Idol” alum Anthony Federov. She returned to Broadway in a revival of “Hair,” which starred another “Idol” alum, Ace Young, who proposed to her during the “Idol” finale last week.
Who wins: Despite her controversial post-“Idol” career, Barrino still wins hands-down -- although DeGarmo seems to be doing better in the love department.
Bo Bice (Season 4)
Lost to: Carrie Underwood
Where is he now: Bo Bice made a lot of noise on his time on “Idol” as the first rocker to make the finals. But he was up against the first country singer to also make the finals. Bice’s debut album, “The Real Thing,” actually turned gold but he was still dropped by RCA Records soon after its release. Bice formed his own label and set up his own studio for his second CD, “See the Light.” He also recorded the theme song of the comedy film “Blades of Glory.” Bice also performed extensively for U.S. troops in Kuwait and Afghanistan, and won the grand prize on the game show “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” – the first celebrity to do so in the show.
Who wins: Underwood is considered the most successful “Idol” contestant ever. ‘Nuff said.
Katharine McPhee (Season 5)
Lost to: Taylor Hicks
Where is she now: It was a slow rise for McPhee after her runner-up finish on “Idol.” Her self-titled debut album did decent numbers, selling 381,000 copies and debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard albums charts, while the CD’s first single, “Over It,” cracked the Top 30 and went gold. She then changed record labels (to Verve) for her second album, “Unbroken.” She was also part of David Foster and Friends and even recorded a duet with Andrea Boccelli for the tenor’s album. She also signed a couple of endorsement deals with Sexy Hair Concepts and Neutrogena. McPhee, however, also had her sights on an acting career. She made her movie debut as a sorority sister of Anna Faris in “The House Bunny” in 2008 and guest-starred on several TV shows before landing a starring role in the NBC hit, “Smash,” which was recently picked up for a second season. Her stint on “Smash” led to a new record deal, this time with Columbia Records.
Who wins: McPhee-ver is back and trumps Soul Patrol. Although Hicks’ debut single, “Do I Make You Proud” outsold McPhee’s coronation song “My Destiny,” McPhee embarked on a slow-but-sure career climb.
Blake Lewis (Season 6)
Lost to: Jordin Sparks
Where is he now: His flipped-out arrangement of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love A Bad Name,” which incorporated his trademark beat-boxing, will probably remain among the most unique performances on “Idol,” but Lewis’s post-“Idol” career is largely forgettable. His debut album “A.D.D. (Audio Day Dream)” managed to sell over 350,000 copies, while his single “How Many Words” made the Billboard Dance/Club Play charts. Lewis was dropped by Arista but was signed with Tommy Boy Entertainment, which released his second album, “Heartbreak on Vinyl,” which also charted on the Billboard Dance Charts.
Who wins: Just like in their “Idol” finale showdown, Sparks wins in a no-contest.
David Archuleta (Season 7)
Lost to: David Cook
Where is he now: His season-long rivalry with David Cook brought back viewer interest on “Idol” and this extended after the show. While Cook’s debut album turned platinum, Archuleta’s self-titled debut CD sold over 750,000 copies in the U.S. He also solidified his largely teen fan base by appearing on the TV shows “Hannah Montana” and “iCarly,” and even opened for Demi Lovato on her tour. He also won a Teen Choice Award for Best Breakout Artist. He released two other albums and even penned the memoir, “Chord of Strength,” about his partial vocal paralysis. He has announced that he is taking two years off to become a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Who wins: Just like in “Idol,” this is a close call. Forbes magazine in its list of top-earning “Idol” contestants both estimated their earnings for the year ending May 2011 at $1 million.
Adam Lambert (Season 8)
Lost to: Kris Allen
Where is he now: Heavily favored to take the title, Adam Lambert shrugged off his loss and confidently launched his post-“Idol” career with his debut album “For Your Entertainment,” which reached the Top 10 in many countries worldwide and sold nearly 2 million copies with his singles “Whataya Want From Me” and “If I Had You.” He even embarked on his own worldwide concert tour, Glam Nation – the first “Idol” to so just a year after appearing on the show. And just last week, his critically acclaimed second album, “Trepassing,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. He also won a Grammy nomination. Lambert was recently chosen to perform with the legendary band Queen in London and Moscow.
Who wins: The openly gay Lambert without batting an eyelash and don't forget the guyliner
Crystal Bowersox (Season 9)
Lost to: Lee DeWyze
Where is she now: The first female “Idol” finalist in three years released her debut album “Farmer’s Daughter” by Jive Records and her lead single, “Up to the Mountain.” However, within a year of the CD’s release, RCA announced that it was disbanding Jive, along with Arista and J Records. Bowersox soon found herself with a record label. The dreadlocked, guitar-playing folk artist said she is working on her second album and will release some pre-“Idol” material on an EP.
Who wins: While DeWyze is considered the lowest-selling “Idol” winner ever, Bowersox has not made any great strides in her career either. Maybe Bowersox will create a great second album but until then, DeWyze still has a slight advantage.
Lauren Alaina (Season 10)
Lost to: Scotty McCreery
Where is she now: Alaina was the runner-up in the only country “Idol” finale and like many country artists who joined the show, Alaina seems to be doing well after the show. Her single “Like My Mother Does” made the Billboard Hot 100 chart, debuting at No. 20, while her debut album “Wildflower” debuted at No. 5 on the US Billboard 200 chart. She has made her Grand Ole Opry debut and will open for Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party Tour and some dates of Sugarland’s In the Hands of the Fans tour.
Who wins: McCreery’s debut album has already turned platinum so Alaina still has a lot of catching up to do.
So what does this mean for Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez? Only three runners-up clearly outperformed the “Idol” winner in the past 10 years, so the argument that it’s better to finish at No. 2 doesn’t make that much sense. However, even this list proves that many of the runners-up have done well.
Worst-case scenario for Sanchez? Perhaps she can take a look at David Archuleta’s post-“Idol” career moves, which included going to the Philippines, recording an OPM album, maybe even shooting a TV series for a top-rated network and endorsing a clothing brand.

Coco Martin, tinuruang umarte si Angeline Quinto sa pelikula
Hindi itinanggi ni Coco Martin na medyo natagalan si Angeline Quinto matutunan ang pag-arte sa harap ng kamera. Bilang baguhan, nahirapan umano si Angeline sa mga ipinapagawa ng direktor nila ni Coco. Hindi naman daw ito naging problema para sa binatang aktor na si Coco Martin dahil bukal naman sa kaniyang loob ang turuan ang kaniyang co-star na si Angeline Quinto ng iba’t-ibang technique para mapadali ang kaniyang pag-arte.
Minsan naman daw ay nasosobrahan naman siya sa pagtuturo at nauubos naman ang lakas ni Coco sa pagbibigay ng motibasyon kay Angeline kung kaya pag siya na ang kukunan ng eksena nakakaramdam na siya ng pagod. Nilinaw naman ni Coco Martin na pinagpasensyahan niya naman ang leading lady dahil alam niyang hindi talaga ito sanay sa pag-arte.
Tinulungan ni Coco si Angeline na humugot ng totoong emosyon kapag mayroon silang confrontations scenes kahit na raw kailangan niyang sampalin ang aktor. Sa eksenang pagsamapal ni Angeline Quinto kay Coco Martin ay kinumpirma ng binata na medyo naparami ito dahil nahirapan iarte ng dalaga ang kaniyang linya. Ang advice na ibinigay ni Coco kay Angeline ay mabuting totoohanin niya ang kaniyang mga nararamdaman para mas madama niya ang eksena at magawa ng mahusay ang kaniyang karakter.
Naikuwento rin ni Coco Martin na dahil sa dami ng eksenang pagsampal sa kaniya ni Angeline Quinto ay tila automatic na siyang umiiwas sa kamay nito kahit pa hindi pa nito nagagawa ang pagsampal. Sa huli ay hindi naiwasan ng aktor na humanga sa pinakitang pag-arte ng singer sa kaniyang mga eksena. Gusto rin ulit makatrabaho ni Coco si Angeline sa mga susunod pang proyekto na darating. Nakita ni Coco Martin kung gaano kalalim ang pinanghuhugutan ni Angeline Quinto pagdating sa kanilang mga dramatic scenes. Inabot ng walong buwan ang pag-shoot ng dalawa sa kanilang pelikula pero sulit naman daw ang pagod at puyat dahil proud umano siya at nagawa nila ito ni Angeline.
Ipinagmamalaki ni Coco Martin na kahit hindi malaki ang perang kapalit ng kaniyang pagod at puyat ay sulit umano ang kaniyang paggawa ng pelikula kasama si Angeline Quinto. Sa araw-araw nilang pagtatrabaho ay unti-unti na rin daw nakikita ang paghusay ng dalaga sa pag-arte. Bukod dito ay nakikita nila na seryoso si Angeline sa kaniyang karakter at nagawa pa raw nitong magpapayat para sa isang eksena. Trabaho lang din daw ang naging kissing scene nila ni Angeline Quinto dahil wala raw balak si Coco Martin na samantalahin ang baguhang aktres sa mga eksenang ito.
Toni Gonzaga, hindi gusto si Lady Gaga
Nananatili pa rin ang opinyon ni Toni Gonzaga patungkol sa kaniyang pananaw ukol sa musika ni Lady Gaga. Ayon sa panayam kay Toni, inamin niya na hindi na siya kumportable sa pakikinig ng mga musika ng makontrobersyal na si Gaga. Matatandaang umani ng protesta si Lady Gaga bago pa ito magperform sa bansa laban sa iba’t-ibang religious group dahil nagpapakita umano ng hindi pagrespeto sa simbahan ang kaniyang mga awitin. Alam naman daw ni Toni Gonzaga na ang kaniyang opinyon ay umani ng hindi magagandang salita mula sa iba’t-ibang mga tao. Nilinaw naman ni Toni na personal na opinyon lamang ang kaniyang ibinahagi.
Wala naman daw balak si Toni Gonzaga na kumbinsihin ang mga fans ni Lady Gaga na huwag tangkilikin ang kaniyang mga musika. Aminado ang dalaga na fan siya noon ng sikat na singer pero habang tumatagal umano ay hindi na siya nagiging kumportable sa mga bagong kanta nito. Hindi niya naman daw pinipilit ang mga tao na maniwala sa kaniyang pananaw patungkol kay Gaga. Si Toni na mismo ang nagdesisyon na ihinto na ang pakikinig kay Gaga dahil nakaramdam siya na personal na hindi pagkagusto rito. Hindi itinanggi ni Toni Gonzaga na minsan na rin siyang nag-perform ng mga music ni Lady Gaga. Paliwanag niya, kahit ano raw ang ilagay sa puso at isipan ay hindi maiiwasan na makakaapekto ito kanilang mga pagkatao.
Iginiit ni Toni Gonzaga na ito ang paniniwala niya sa mga awitin ni Lady Gaga kung kaya umaasa siya na sana ay respetuhin ng ibang tao ang kaniyang pahayag. Nananatili pa rin naman daw ang respeto ni Toni kay Gaga lalo na at kapwa niya ito singer. Naiintindihan daw ng host-actress ang freedom of expression na mayroon si Lady Gaga bilang isang artist. Nilinaw ni Toni Gonzaga na hindi ibig sabihin na huminto na siya sa pakikinig ng musika ng pop singer ay sinusuportahan niya na ang mga Christian group na nagpoprotesta sa singer.
Itinanggi rin niya na hinuhusgahan niya ang pagkatao ni  Gaga dahil wala umano siya sa posisyon para magsalita ng hindi maganda laban sa American singer. Para kay Toni, ang tanging ginawa niya lamang ay huminto sa pakikinig ng mga awitin ni Gaga. Wala rin daw problema kung gusto pang gumawa ng concerts si Gaga sa bansa at gumawa pa ng mga musika dahil hindi niya kayang pigilan ito sa pagpapakita ng kaniyang ekspresyon bilang isang artist. Para kay Toni Gonzaga, hindi pa rin nawawala ang respeto niya bilang isang tao kay Lady Gaga.Â

‘DINOSAUR KING’ MAGSISIMULA NA SA TEAM ANIMAZING NG ABS-CBN
Magbabalik na ang mga dinosaur, hindi sa lupa, kung hindi sa telebisyon kasama pa ang tatlong bagong bidang kids na na tiyak susubaybayan mo tuwing umaga sa "Dinosaur King," simula ngayong Lunes (May 28) sa ABS-CBN.
Matatalik na magkakaibigan sina Max, Rex, at Zoe at tulad ng ibang kabataan, nais lang nila magsaya at mag-bonding ng magkakasama. Ngunit lingid sa kanilang kaalaman na isang malaking adventure ang naghihintay sa kanila matapos nilang matagpuan ang mga card na nagiging dinosaurs sa kagubatan.
Una'y animo'y mga bagong alaga lang ang kanilang nahanap pero ang mga dinosaur na ito ay nangangailangan pala ng kanilang tulong dahil ikinulong sila at iba pa nilang kauri sa naturang cards ng isang misteryosong grupo na kung tawagin ay Alpha Gang. Ang naturang grupo ay hangad na makumpleto ang lahat ng dinosaur cards para hirangin silang 'dinosaur king' at maghasik ng lagim sa sanlibutan.
Kaya naman ang misyon nina Max, Rex, ay Zoe ay maunahan ang Alpha Gang na makuha ang mga card at maisalba sa kapahamakan ang mga kapwa dinosaur ng kanilang bagong mga kaibigan.
Magtagumpay kaya sila sa kanilang misyon? Sino ang tatanghaling "Dinosaur King?"
Ang "Dinosaur King" ay programa ng ABS-CBN sa ilalim ng kanilang "Bida Best Kid" campaign na naglalayong himukin ang mga batang Pinoy na maging 'da best' sa anumang larangan at abutin ang kanilang mga pangarap. Tulad nina Max, Rex, at Zoe, ang kabataang Pinoy ay mahilig tumuklas ng mga bagong bagay at matapang na sumasabak sa mga adventure.

22-year-old freelance model and designer Stephanie Dianne Stefanowitz from Quezon City was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2012 in the coronation night held on Sunday, May 27, at SM Centerstage in SM Mall of Asia.
The 5'10.5" beauty will represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth 2012 pageant in Indonesia on October 28, 2012.
