Oge Alcasid, officially announced as the newest kapamilya; wants to work with Liza Soberano

Kapuso-turned-kapatid singer/comedian Ogie Alcasid is the latest celebrity to join the kapamilya network.

In a press conference held on Thursday afternoon, December 15, Alcasid will be joining fellow artists Gary Valenciano and Sharon Cuneta to sit as part of the jury in ABS-CBN's Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids edition.

Alcasid is thrilled to judge "Your Face Sounds Familiar" kids. According to him, he likes kids and it really appeals to him.

When asked what would be his judging style, "Siguro medyo malako ako. Siguro ma-joke ako sa kanila in a way na may mai-impart ako sa kanila", he said.

Mr. Songwriter was also asked who he wants to work with as his partner/loveteam. He said, it would be Liza Soberano... but him as her father. Alcasid was also unable to hide his admiration for Enrique Gil's "other half.

Eugene Domingo Says 'Babae Sa Septic Tank 2' Is Perfect Viewing For The Christmas Season With Its Perfect Script, Direction And Cast

 EUGENE DOMINGO got disappointed when her last films didn't do as well as expected at the tills, "Instant Mommy" and "Barber's Tales", so she decided not to do movies for a while and just concentrated on doing high-paying TV shows, like "Celebrity Bluff" and "Dear Uge", which are both big hits.

But she's now back on the big screen in the filmfest entry, "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: Forever is Not Enough", a sequel to the highly successful Cinemalaya entry in 2011. "Septic Tank 1" not only won awards but became a big hit when released theatrically. So what's the difference between 1 and 2?

"Yung first movie is a spoof on the making of indie films na gustong isali sa international film festivals," she explains. "Di ba, may pagka-poverty porn yun na yung isang pamilyang maraming anak, naghahati-hati sa iisang pakete ng instant noodles at gagawin pang child prostitute yung anak? Perfect ang timing, perfect ang script, perfect ang cast and it's a perfect family movie for this Christmas season.

Laugh trip from start to finish. Kaya dalhin nyo na ang buong pamilya, buong barkada, boyfriend mo, girlfriend mo dahil garantisado, lahat kayo, kikiligin sa movie. Sobrang matutuwa sila sa character ko na bitch talaga, at sa kung anong mangyayari sa character ko sa ending dahil bitch nga ako."

How is it working with Jericho Rosales? "He can be serious but also be very funny. Yung kind of comedy niya, very natural. Very cooperative siya. Sineryoso niya ito. Magaan siyang katrabaho at mapagbiro sa lahat ng tao."

How about Joel Torre? "He's my indie hero kasi namulat ako in making movies, lalo indie film, dahil sa kanya. Ever since, high school pa lang ako, crush ko na siya. Tapos, nakasama ko siya sa soaps na ginawa ko sa ABS-CBN, kaya tribute namin ito sa kanya. Hanggang ngayon, crush ko pa rin siya. Habang nagkakaedad, lalong gumuguwapo. And he remains to be a very good actor. Kaya don't miss 'Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2' when it opens in theaters on Christmas Day. Graded A ito by the Cinema Evaluation Board kaya garantisadong maganda."

What can she say about predictions that she'll compete with Nora Aunor in "Kabisera" as filmfest best actress? "Wala akong iniisip na ganun. I'm not here to compete, I'm just here to enjoy being part of the filmfest. Besides, this is not a competition. This is a celebration, a celebration of good movies during the holiday season."

Alden Richards Prepares A Special Christmas Number In GMA's 'The Magic Of Christmas' This Sunday, Will Soon Tape Their Primetime Soap, 'Destined To Be Yours'

ALDEN RICHARDS won big in the recent Awit Awards. His album with GMA Records, "Wish I May", got the Album of the Year Award and Diamond Record Award and he was named the Most Downloaded Artist of the Year. His hit song, "Wish I May", was named Most Downloaded Song of 2015. "I really want to thank all my fans who supported and bought the album and downloaded the song," he says. "Sana, maging ganito rin ka-successful ang second album ko with GMA Records na 'Say It Again'."

Alden is really on a winning streak as his first international hosting assignment at the recent 21st Asian TV Awards held in Singapore International Convention Center got a lot of acclaim. He looks so relaxed in the company of more experienced co-host Adrian Pang of Singapore, Korean American TV host model Stephanie Carrington, Malaysian TV host Baki Zainal and Chinese dance Fiona Su. They were all surprised because the audience reaction inside the convention center was overwhelming and he got a lot of fans rooting for him when he walked on the red carpet.

When asked by Adrian Pang how he feels about being a successful young actor, he replied: "Well you know, being young and being given this opportunity to make people happy in everything that you do, you just basically have to give love in return. Love your job. Love the people who give you support and basically, you just have to be yourself, have fun with what you're doing and keep the faith."

Later on, the people handling the awards night told him: "We'll love to have you back next year." It's really good that Alden got a lot of positive feedback for his hosting because it's so sad that the Philippines didn't win a single award that night. Michael V was there as a best comedy actor nominee but he, too, went home empty handed.

Meantime, AlDub fans will be pleased know that the first Alden-Maine Mendoza teleserye, titled "Destine to Be Yours", will be taping soon. This is slated to be shown early next year, under the direction of Irene Villamor, who helmed the hit rom-com "Camp Sawi". Maine plays an activist who does all kinds of job to earn money for her family, with Janice de Belen as her mom and Gardo Versoza as her dad.

Things get complicated when a big company wants to build a skyscraper in their hometown, with Alden as the architect in charge. Maine wants to protect their environment and resist Alden and his company. Playing Alden's mom is Lotlot de Leon, with Ina Feleo as his aunt and Boots Anson Roa as his grandma. Sheena Halili plays Maine's best friend while playing the contravida is former beauty queen Koreen Medina, who's also part of Starstruck Season 6. Meantime, don't miss Alden and Maine when they do a special production number in the GMA Christmas Special, "The Magic of Christmas", to be shown this Sunday on SNBO. MY DESTINY opens in My TV Africa

My Destiny is still showing on KTN Kenya but it will be shown on December 14 to practically the rest of Subsaharan Africa (except South Africa) via My Tv Africa. African schedule: Primetime 8:00 PM Nigeria time. It stars Carla Abellana, Rhian Ramos and Tom Rodriguez. It replaces another GMA teleserye One True Love starring Alden Richards.

This photo which John Prats posted on his Instagram account looked like a family portrait of two gay dads raising three beautiful children.

Prats was with his first baby Feather and his co-Star Magic alumnus Patrick Garcia with his two children from non-showbiz wife.

The photo excited netizens as it brought memories from their childhood. Both actors came from Star Magic Batch 92 and launched via ABS-CBN's AngTV. They starred in their  respective childhood movies BatangX (Prats) and Batang PX (Garcia) and worked together in Roller Boys.
