Netizens Call Kathryn Bernardo Talentless Singer Killing OPM


With the upcoming release of her debut recording album under Star Records, people are wondering why Kathryn Bernardo snagged a recording contract when she can't even carry a tune live!

In a report by Alex Brosas published at Bandera on November 8, the entertainment writer enumerates reasons why the Teen Queen deserves an album.

But she’s popular and although she does not sing as good as our divas, meron naming producer na sumugal at binigyan siya ng album. Kaya lang, ang daming naloka when they learned that Kathryn will soon release her album.

“Kathryn is one example of an overhyped talentless love team. As for the other half…hmmm.” One even blamed Anne Curtis for starting the trend of non-singing celebrities na walang takot nag-record ng album.

“Anne Curtis started it all. Now, practically anyone can have an album – a singing ability is no longer required. Sana wag na tangkilikin mga ganito. Kawawa naman OPM. I’m not a hater.

I just pity the current state of our music industry,” said one guy. “Kaya namamatay ang OPM dahil sa mga artistang pinipilit maging singer. Reklamo ng reklamo mga artistz at record labels pero sila rin naman walang reklamo sa mga nagsisinger singeran,” tili naman ng isa pa.

Trying to be rational, one guy said, “Hahaha!!! Inis k lng ksi ang mga IDOL mo walang binatbat..magaganda nga wla nman mga talent…hindi gya ng mga artist ng ABS-CBN magaganda na talented pa.”

Kathryn is utterly popular and this must be the reason kung bakit binigyan siya ng chance na magka-album. Otherwise, she could have been singing sa banyo lang.

Award-Winning Director Auraeus Solito Changes His Name To Kanakan Balintagos, Meaning Truth Hunter

AS AURAEUS Solito, he became known for such acclaimed indie films as “Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros”, “Tuli”, “Pisay” and “Baybayin”. Now, he is known with his new name: Kanakan Balintagos. This is the name he is using in his new movie, the Cinema One Originals Filmfest entry, “Esprit de Corps”. Why the change of name?
“Well, I just want to start anew,” he says. “May elder kasi ako sa Palawan. Recently, he dreamt this name when I was there in Palawan. It’s a sacred name. Kanakan means a hunter and Balintagos means truth. So hunter of truth. And I decided na I want to begin again using this name. Erase na ’yong old name ko from ‘Maximo Oliveros’. I have a new film and it’s gonna be a surprise.”

Karla Estrada, Teen King Daniel Padilla's mom, went into a blind audition at The Voice PH but failed to make chairs turn for her. Karla's blind audition is probably the most talked about and the most awaited audition for this season of ABS-CBN's singing competition franchise.

Karla joined The Voice because it is a dream come true for any "kontesera" to pass an audition in a singing contest such as The Voice. She has been joining contest since she was nine years old.

Here are the coaches' remarks about Karla:

Lea Salonga: "That was good. I mean, diction wala naman akong complaint. But I guess we're looking for... iyong hindi namin madescribe n.. 'Oh my God... iyong mapapatalon ka talaga na mapipindot iyong button"

Bamboo: "That is a difficult song to sing. I've only heard two people sing that but the character of the girls voice was very distinct. I guess everyone like evryone said is admirable."

Sarah Geronimo: "Ms. Karla, what you did ws just inspiring. Iyong dedication ninyo, iyong passion ninyo sa music, talagang hanggang ngayon talagang hinding hindi na mawawala sa inyo. At iyong humility ninyo para sumali sa competition at maging ready sa magiging resulta, WOW! Salamat po."
