Andi Eigenmann and JM de Guzman's Horror Movie "Pridyider" Airs Sunday on Cinema One


A promising young man JM de Guzman steps in to help Andi Eigenmann in a story of the horrific and terrifying events from the past that have caught up with her present, as they star in “Pridyider”, which airs on Cinema One on Sunday (August 25).
“Pridyider” tells the story of Tina (Andi Eigenmann), a girl who is sent to the U.S. to live with her aunt because something happened to her parents - an incident that has never been explained to her. Hoping for a new start, she returns to her homeland and back into her family’s old house. There, she finds a companion in a young man named James (JM de Guzman), her childhood friend.
Days pass and Tina begins to notice strange occurrences, particularly in the kitchen. There, an antique refrigerator stands. Tina soon discovers that the appliance is haunted, dangerous, and hungry for human blood. When all efforts to remove the refrigerator fail, she is forced to dig into her own forgotten past to find a way to rid her household of all its evils.
Along with Andi Eigenmann and JM de Guzman, “Pridyider” also stars Janice de Belen, Joel Torre, Venus Raj and Baron Geisler.
Catch the creepy “Pridyider” as it airs on Sunday (August 25) at 8:00 p.m. on the Blockbuster Sundays movie block of the country’s number one cable channel, Cinema One (SkyCable channel 56). Philippine showbiz’s teen queen and king “Got To Believe” stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla were voted ‘Hottest Filipino Stars Under 20′ for 2013 in an online poll conducted by popular entertainment blog Starmometer, which was participated by thousands of netizens.
Kathryn clinched the top spot with a total of 203,736 votes, followed by his love team partner Daniel who earned 148,415. Incidentally, Kathryn and Daniel ranked 1 and 2, respectively, in the same online poll in 2011.
Meanwhile, the most romantic and highly anticipated Primetime Bida series of ABS-CBN “Got To Believe” I set to premiere this Monday (August 26). The Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed TV masterpiece will air nightly after “Juan dela Cruz.”
As a momentous treat to everyone who have been clamoring for KathNiel love team’s TV comeback, “Got To Believe” recently launched its special project: ‘G2B Army Color Fun Run.’ Due to bad weather, the run was rescheduled from August 25 to September 1 (Sunday). It will still take place at Aseana Business Park in Paranaque City. Assembly time is 7am.
The G2B Army is composed of thousands of Filipinos–young and young-at-hearts–who believe in the group’s main objective that is to create positive change to the country.
Only those with official race kits are allowed to take part in the”G2B Army Color Fun Run.”

CineFilipino Film Festival 2013 Movie Entries; Gala Week Scheduled on September 18-24 

CineFilipino, an independent film festival spearheaded by PLDT-Smart Foundation, MediaQuest, Studio 5 and Unitel Entertainment, will have its gala week on September 18-24, 2013. It will showcase 8 feature-length films and 10 short films.

The public may be able to watch the CineFilipino feature presentations during its week-long run at the Newport Cinemas of Resorts World Manila, Lucky Chinatown Mall and Gateway Cineplex. Festival entries will also be shown at the cinemas of Shangri-la Plaza on September 21-22 weekend.

The feature films competing for awards including Audience Choice and Best Acting Ensemble are:

PUTI (ACHROMATOPSIA) by Miguel 'Mike' Alcazaren follows the story of a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that rendered him color blind. While recuperating, he starts seeing strange images.

MGA ALAALA NG TAG-ULAN by Renato 'Ato' Bautista, Jr. is a coming-of-age love story about a young man’s first encounter with love, romance, and heartbreak, told in bits and pieces of poetic and melancholic memories that began on one rainy night.

THE GUERILLA IS A POET by Sari Raissa Dalena and Kiri Dalena weaves an intricate tale of an activist’s journey during the turbulent years of Martial Law, until his capture in the mountains and the dark, nine years of imprisonment that followed, leading to his birth as a poet.

ANG HULING CHA-CHA NI ANITA by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo tells the story of a 12-year old Anita who falls in love with the new woman in town; years later, a girlhood crush blossoms during the Fiesta of Santa Clara in Obando, Bulacan.

THE MUSES by Janice Perez is a story of sibling rivalry in the music business where two sisters find the hidden truths about fame, family and their own selves.

ANG KWENTO NI MABUTI by Ramon 'Mes' De Guzman tells the story of a healer named Mabuti, who despite her poverty, still looks at life positively.  Everything changes, however, when she finds a bag containing a huge stash of money.

ANG TURKEY MAN AY PABO RIN by Randolph Longjas is a cross-cultural comedy about a Filipino-American couple who celebrates life with karaoke music, superstitious in-laws, immigration laws, unexpected pregnancies, brown-outs, Thanksgiving turkey, with some love on the side.

BINGOLERAS by Byron 'Ron' Bryant is a comedy about six single women, whose lives intersect when a bingo marathon is launched in their church for the barangay fiesta, turning expectations and relationships upside down and inside out.
