With no local support, Cynthia Alexander migrates to U.S.

At the end of the month, singer, songwriter and bass player extraordinaire Cynthia Alexander is leaving the Philippines.

For good.

Cynthia is uprooting herself and her family and migrating to Seattle, Washington.

Her reason?

Career-wise, she has had very limited support.

Or, in her own words: “I am moving away because I refuse to live my life like a frog in a well!”

The best there is

Cynthia’s departure is going to be a big loss to local music. As a bassist, she can out-funk and out-slap a lot of male virtuosos. She was, in fact, honored in the 90s by Japan as one of the best there is.

Armed with Joni Mitchell-inspired open tunings, she has written pop melodies for her poems, and gave us beautiful songs that sound deceptively simple in her lilting voice. But when you try to decipher her complex guitar lines, you wonder if plays with more than 10 fingers.

In fact, Cynthia is a multi-instrumentalist. Hand her a paper bag and she’ll probably find a way to extract jewels of melodies from it.

A pop-rock stint

In the mid-90s, Cynthia and I played for pop rocker Lou Bonnevie. Cynthia was skinny but played her trademark muscular bass lines. She sang sweet vocal harmonies (as she did in her former band HAYP, which included guitar virtuoso Noel Mendez). Along with drummer Rene Tengasantos and keyboardist Edgar Mendoza, we had fun on and offstage.

One time, Cynthia and I scarfed down TGIF’s humongous mocha mud pies an hour before a gig. We were so full that we couldn’t even walk upright. Lou was rightfully pissed. “Guys! Why aren’t you moving?? Come on!!!”

When Cynthia got pregnant with her daughter Tala while we were gigging for Lou, she played well into her third trimester. To cope with her growing belly, she simply re-positioned the bass to her right side. She also showed us a few songs that she was writing.

Virtuoso like brother Joey Ayala

Like big brother Joey Ayala, Cynthia is a virtuoso at arranging songs…her way. It was another facet of Cynthia’s musicality that surprised me.

Also, she is just as adept at Western harmony as she is at Eastern music, spread among many instruments.

When she gave up the idea of re-forming her old band and going for broke as a solo artist, the result was her 1997 debut “Insomnia and Other Lullabyes.” It incorporated Eastern and Western sensibilities very naturally. Truly world-class stuff.

With Cynthia leaving, I can’t help but think about the hysteria surrounding American Idol also-ran Jessica Sanchez, a Filipino-Mexican American.

Her lineage had us all waving the flag of Pinoy pride. We lionized her as “our own.” Like the half-Pinoy contestants before her whose names we’ve forgotten, we want Jessica to come “home” so we can bask in her glory.

Meanwhile, homegrown geniuses like Cynthia Alexander are leaving home.

Who’s waving the flag?

Will Cynthia continue to wave the Philippine flag for us when she settles and works elsewhere?

Should she?

But then, the other question is: does Cynthia need to go abroad and “make it” before WE wave the flag for HER?

The secret to Eula Valdes's happy love life

Eula Valdes feels happy that her four-year relationship with Rocky Salumbides is going stronger amidst reports that they have broken up.

“Happy ako sobra kasi four years na kami,” Eula said in an interview during the press launch of Myra-E Holistic Skin Care System in White Space, Makati City on Thursday, June 7.

Eula dispelled rumors that she broke up with Rocky, a model and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate. She added that she doesn’t let intrigues affect their relationship.

Communication

The secret to their happy relationship is “communication” and understanding each other, reveals Eula.

“Kung papasok ka sa isang relationship, tapos naging selfish ka lang, hindi talaga mag-wo-work iyon. Kailangan may usapan na yan at pakiramdaman ang isa’t isa,” she said.

As for the intrigues about their relationship, Eula has this to say, “Hindi ko nga alam kung saan nanggagaling yung mga chismis. Siguro wala lang masabi kasi happy ako eh. Siguro test na rin iyon kung maaapektuhan ba kami sa mga ganoong news. Basta masaya kami.”

Intrigues and an aversion to seeing hate comments from others keep Eula from having a social networking account such as Twitter and Facebook.

“Kaya nga wala akong Twitter account kasi hindi ko kaya yung ganyan, yung merong iba-badmouth ka ng hindi mo kaharap. Hindi mo pwede i-defend yung sarili mo kasi hindi mo siya nakikita. Hindi ko iyon kaya so bakit pa ako papasok sa mga ganun? Hindi ko talaga kaya iyon.”

Good feedback

Aside from a happy love life, Eula feels blessed that her afternoon drama, “Mundo Man ay Magunaw,” is getting good feedback . “Una nilagay kami sa morning and yet maraming nanonood. Tapos noong nilipat na to a later timeslot, marami pa ring sumusubaybay. Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila kasi naa-appreciate nila nang tuluy-tuloy ‘yung mga ginagawa namin,” Eula said.

Sheena thanks Marian for defending her on pregnancy rumor

GMA-7 actress Sheena Halili is grateful to Marian Rivera for squashing the pregnancy rumors about her.

Marian recently told the press that she loves to bring green mangoes on the set of their new TV show “Tweets for my Sweet,” which allegedly started the pregnancy rumor about Sheena.

“Thank you kasi pinagtanggol niya ako. At least mas lalong na-clear na hindi totoo (ang pregnancy rumors),” Sheena said in an interview during the AXE Anarchy Raid event in Eastwood City on Saturday, June 9. Sheena participated in the “Cops and Robbers” contest with fellow artists Rocco Nacino, Megan Young, Bangs Garcia and Sam Pinto.

Different meaning

Sheena said that Marian usually brings food to their taping and that some people misunderstood her (Sheena) when she ate the green mangoes Marian brought to the set.

“Si Marian naman kapag nakakasama ko sa mga shows, lagi siyang nagpapadala ng mga fruits. Nagkataon lang na mangga at seryoso akong kumain noon dahil nagi-English ako sa “Tweets for my Sweet,”” she said.

Sheena added that they were just joking around and pretending to be dizzy at the set, which probably made people speculate about pregnancy.

“Nagfo-focus ako, so nag-joke ako na nahihilo ako kasi ang init-init ng bahay. Tapos parang nagjoke si Marian. Nagtatawanan lang kami, siguro may nakarinig na parang sineryoso na,” Sheena said.

How does she feel about the pregnancy rumors?

“Wala lang, nakakatawa lang,” Sheena replied.

Looking forward to drama

Sheena just finished “Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis” and will star in the upcoming show “Tweets for my Sweet.” Since she has long been comedy, Sheena hopes to do a drama and play different roles in the future.

“Gusto ko ring mag-try pa ng iba pa. Bilang artista, hindi ka lang naman dapat magstay sa isang character.”

Cheesa Laureta arrives in Manila

Filipino-American “The Voice” contestant Cheesa Laureta arrived in Manila on Tuesday, June 12, to visit her relatives and fulfill performing engagements.

“Philippines I am here and you are looking beautiful as ever! Happy Independence Day! <3,” Cheesa tweeted.

She came with her brother Troy, a musical director. Their parents are immigrants from Manila and Cebu.

Troy also tweeted, "It feels good to be home in the Philippines."

According to ABS-CBN News, Cheesa is excited to meet and thank Filipino fans for their support.

“It feels good to finally get recognized for your talent and to go back home. Especially from kababayans, for them to be so proud of you, it's both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time,” Cheesa said.

Cheesa was part of Cee Lo Green’s team in the “The Voice” Season 2.

The two got engaged in Paris Saturday night, June 9.

The NBA star got down on one knee at the Le Meurice Hotel Belle Etoile Royal Suite at about 11pm local time, and handed her a rock worth more than $1 million, reports People.com.

"I have been planning my proposal for a while and overlooking the entire Paris skyline seemed like a perfect place. I am so happy she said 'yes,' and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife," Stoudemire said in a statement.




The hardware is a 8.5-carat radiant-cut ring and the setting is made up of 3.50 carats of diamonds set in 18-carat white gold. In other words, it's stunning and gigantic.

The pair got together in 2002 after the star was drafted to the Phoenix Suns.

Jessy will be paired for the first time with one of Kapamilya's sexy leading men Matteo Guidicelli.

"Sobrang gaan lang niya [Matteo] katrabaho, aalagaan ka niya sa set, pino-protect ka niya. I feel very comfortable with Matteo, personally and in our working relationship," Jessy said of Matteo.

Joining Jessy and Matteo are Matt Evans, Jewel Mische, Aaron Villaflor and former PBB Housemates Paco Evangelista, Dionne Monsanto and Jessica Connelly.




"Precious Hearts Romances: Isla" tells the story of two strangers, Brennan (Matteo) and Yani (Jessy), who get stranded on an island after their ship gets wrecked.

Romance blooms between them as they spend time alone on the island, but the two strangers are not without their respective baggage from the "real world." Brennan is married to his dedicated wife Megan (Jewel), while Yani's childhood best friend Justin (Matt) has untold feelings for the young woman.

The romance that grows between Yani and Brennan will set off a series of twists and conlicts in the story.

Directed by Nico Hernandez and Connie Macatuno, "Isla" is slated for a release later this year.

Some of TV5’s biggest stars land nominations in this year’s OMG Awards organized by Yahoo! Philippines. The OMG Awards are given out to the best and brightest in Philippine entertainment.

Among the Kapatid stars recognized vying for the coveted entertainment awards are showbiz pillars Superstar Nora Aunor, Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Comedy King Dolphy who are all nominated in the “Major Impact” category. Nominees who get the most number of online votes will win the category. Ron Barber, who almost lost his life in the Arizona shooting rampage that wounded former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, won a special election to succeed her, giving Democrats a psychological boost after last week's failed effort to recall Wisconsin's Republican governor.

Appearing with Giffords at a Tucson hotel after his victory Tuesday night, Barber told supporters, "Life takes unexpected turns and here we are, thanks to you." Giffords hugged him and kissed his forehead.

Barber defeated Republican Jesse Kelly, who narrowly lost to Giffords in 2010 in a competitive district that Republicans have won in the last two presidential elections. Giffords has made few public appearances since resigning in January to focus on her recovery, but she dashed back to Tucson during the campaign's final days to help her former district director.

Democratic officials were quick to argue that the victory sets the stage for them to win back control of the House.

"This campaign previewed the message fight that will play out across the country in November: Democrats committed to protecting the middle class, Social Security and Medicare versus misleading Republican attacks on Obamacare and national Democrats," said Rep. Steve Israel, D-N.Y., chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

But Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said special elections are unique and the Arizona race was particularly so because of what had happened to Giffords. He predicted that Barber would not fare as well in the fall with President Barack Obama leading the ticket.

"No one wanted this election to happen or to see Gabrielle Giffords step down from Congress, but Jesse ran a campaign focused on pro-growth policies that will lead to less government and a strong and vibrant economy," Sessions said.

In his concession speech, Kelly said: "We executed the plan we wanted. The voters of southern Arizona did something different."

Republicans had sought to make the contest a referendum on Obama and his handling of the economy. Democrats played to the senior vote by contending that Kelly would not protect Medicare and Social Security.

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Miami Heat, 105-94, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals Tuesday night, June 12.

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Oklahoma Thunder to victory over the Miami Heat.

Durant scored 23 of his game-high 36 points in the second half and Westbrook had 12 third-quarter points for the Thunder, who kept their home record perfect in the playoffs with their ninth win in a row at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Westbrook finished with 27 points and 11 assists while Serge Ibaka had 10 points and six rebounds for the Thunder, who are making their first NBA Finals appearance since 1996 when they were based in Seattle as the SuperSonics.

LeBron James had a team-high 30 points and Dwyane Wade finished with 19 points and eight assists for the Heat. The Heat are seeking Miami's first NBA title since 2006.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals 2012: Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder will be replayed tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Studio 23. While Game 2 is set on Friday, June 15 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City.

The still-undefeated Timothy Bradley, who brought down Manny Pacquiao like a blue ghost on Saturday, might have had an unfair advantage: He follows a vegan training regimen. The welterweight is famously hard on left-handers, but he's easy on animals.

When training for a fight, Bradley adheres to a plant based diet. Yes, that is right, serious athlete, serious training, serious muscles, vegan diet. In fact, Bradley gives credit to his diet for giving him a distinct advantage in the ring.

Bradley first tried a plant based diet in 2008, when an adviser suggested he try it because it would give him more energy and endurance. His training went so well, and was so successful, that it became a regular part of his training program. His vegan diet before a fight leads him to visit a local vegan restaurant, the Organic Palm Greens Cafe, up to twice per day in his hometown of Palm Springs, California and has had a vegan smoothie— Bradley’s Ultra Green—named after him at the establishment.

This is a interesting twist, as most wold think a boxer who is beefed up and training hard to build up muscle would stock pile the protein needed to add on the extra muscle by upping their meat consumption, but Bradley has proven that isn’t always the case.

Bradley said the vegan diet helps increase his energy before a fight: “My thoughts are clearer, crisp. I am sharp. Everything is working perfectly—I feel clean. It’s a weird feeling, man. It’s just a weird feeling.”

In this clip, in which he talks about why he loves eating vegan meals, Bradley explains, "I just feel completely different. I feel superior over any athlete I get in the ring with. You know, energy is there."

Zhang Ziyi Sues Apple Daily and Next Magazine on Prostitution Reports


Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has sued Hong Kong’s Apple Daily newspaper and its sister publication Next Magazine over reports that she prostituted herself with senior Chinese officials.


The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star signed the suit presented to the Hong Kong High Court on Monday, saying that the reports were “seriously defamatory” and “false.”

An article in Apple Daily on May 29 said that Zhang “is a prostitute” and had sex with disgraced top official Bo Xilai and his wealthy associate Xu Ming for money on “numerous occasions,” the court document said.

The tabloid also alleged the 33-year-old actress had sex with other top officials and “unnamed rich persons,” and had accrued a fortune worth 700 million yuan ($110 million) from these illicit liaisons over 10 years.

“The plaintiff has been subjected to public odium, hatred, contempt or ridicule,” the suit signed by the actress said, adding that it would seek unspecified damages.

“The plaintiff’s public image has also been seriously and continuously undermined which has caused and will continue to cause loss and damage to her profession and career,” the suit also said.

Apple Daily, a Chinese-language newspaper known for racy celebrity gossip and strong criticism of the Chinese communist authorities, did not reply to requests from Agence France-Presse for comment on the suit.

The story was removed from the newspaper’s website after Zhang threatened to sue last month.

Bo was sacked from his post as boss of Chongqing city in March and then suspended from China’s powerful central politburo for “serious discipline violation”—a code for corruption. He has not been seen since.

His wife, Gu Kailai, is in custody under suspicion of ordering the murder of a British businessman.

Zhang also denied Apple Daily’s assertion that she was now under investigation by Chinese authorities and was barred from leaving China.

Apple Daily and Next Magazine are both owned by Hong Kong entrepreneur Jimmy Lai’s Next Media.

Apple Daily editor-in-chief Cheung Kim-hung and Next Magazine’s chief editor Li Chi-ho were also named as defendants in the suit.

A spokesman for the actress, whose other films include Memoirs of a Geisha and Rush Hour 2, said in a post on Chinese social media that Zhang “will not tolerate the recent irresponsible media rumors.”

“The legal proceedings mean that we have started down the road to maintaining her legal rights and interests. Justice can be expected soon,” the spokesman added.

These weather systems will bring scattered to widespread rains over Northern Mindanao and the western section of Northern and Central Luzon.

Residents living in low lying areas and along mountain slopes are advised to be on alert for possible occurrence of flashfloods and landslides.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Butchoy (International name Guchol) was estimated 1,370 km East of Mindanao (9.3°N, 140.7°E) or over the Caroline Islands with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness up to 80 kph. It is moving Westward at 15 kph and is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow or early Friday.

Bob Arum Files for Bradley - Pacquiao Investigation


Promoter Bob Arum on Sunday called for an investigation into the controversial split-decision verdict that saw Timothy Bradley deal superstar Manny Pacquiao his first defeat since 2005.

Arum said there would be no rematch between the fighters unless Nevada attorney general Catherine Cortez Masto launched a probe into the scoring of Saturday night's WBO welterweight title fight.

It was widely believed that Pacquiao won the contest, having consistently landed cleaner and more forceful punches throughout, but the judges didn't see it that way.

Two judges scored the fight 115-113 to Bradley, while the other scored it 115-113 to Pacquiao. The decision was met with boos at the MGM Grand arena.

"I want to investigate whether there was any undue influence, whether the [Nevada Athletic Commission] gave any particular instruction and how they came to this conclusion," said Arum, whose company promotes both fighters.

"If this was a subjective view that each of [the judges] honestly held, OK. I would still disagree, but then we're off the hook in terms of there being no conspiracy.

"But there needs to be an independent investigation because it strains credulity that an event everybody saw as so one-sided one way all three judges saw it as close.

"The whole sport is in an uproar. People are going crazy."

“Faithfully” brings to afternoon viewers the tremendous dramatic talents of seven of the network’s most promising and talented actors and actresses – Maxene Magalona as Stella Quillamor, Isabel Oli as Megan Briones, Vaness del Moral as Dina Carvajal, and Michelle Madrigal as Luchie Trajano, introducing Isabelle Daza as Misha Villar with Marc Abaya as Kevin Quillamor and Mike Tan as Perry Escano – as they headline the newest Kapuso drama about love, treachery, sacrifice, and vengeance.

Completing the powerhouse cast are Miggs Cuaderno as Miggy Quillamor, Jamaica Olivera as Shelby Quillamor, Victor Aliwalas as Dan Belmonte, Will Devaughn as Luke Gallanosa, Kevin Santos as Edjie Miranda, Timmy Cruz as Gloria Mariano and Ms. Chanda Romero as Amanda Quillamor.

The series tells the story of Stella, a poor lady who strives to earn an education despite the meager earnings of her family. Through the help of her childhood friend, Luchie, Stella lands a job as a cashier in her flower shop. Here, she will meet Misha, an events organizer and one of Luchie’s closest friends. The three ladies will get along together and develop a special friendship. But Misha’s socialite friend Dina abhors Stella because of her status.

Things get complicated when Stella develops an admiration towards Kevin, the boyfriend of Dina. Stella keeps her feelings a secret but Dina immediately suspects her intentions. Dina’s anger towards Stella intensifies every time Kevin defends Stella.

But Dina is not serious about her relationship with Kevin. She still plays around and Stella discovers her unfaithfulness to Kevin. Stella tells Luchie and Misha of Dina’s infidelity. Kevin learns of Dina’s secret and he immediately breaks up with her. Because of this incident, Kevin and Stella become closer and he will realize that Stella would make the perfect wife.

But Kevin’s mother, Amanda, is against her son marrying Stella. Her decision quickly changes when Stella’s father dies and bequeaths to her all properties. In an instant, the poor Stella transforms into a rich heiress.

Stella and Kevin get married and are blessed with two kids, Ashley and Miggy. Stella will have her own bakeshop and later on will renew her ties with Dina. After seven years, tragedy strikes Stella’s world when Kevin encounters an accident and falls into a coma. Adding to her woes is a video which Kevin prepared for her. He tells Stella that he has found a new woman and she is one of Stella’s friends.

With her perfect world turned into a nightmare, how will Stella face the shocking revelation of Kevin? Who is the new woman in Kevin’s life? What will be the fate of Stella’s relationship with Kevin? What will be Stella’s reaction if she finds out the identity of the woman who betrayed her?

With original concept by RJ Nuevas, Faithfully is filled with drama, mystery and suspense as the families and friendships of these women are broken by secrets and lies.

Teen star-turned-sexy actress Bangs Garcia has quickly become a household name among TV viewers, here and abroad, through ABS-CBN’s afternoon ‘OFW-serye’ “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” as her character Mia proudly fights for the married man that she truly loves.

Iwa Moto, Jodi Santamaria may away

Nagsalita na ang sexy actress na si Iwa Moto patungkol sa kasalukuyan nilang sitwasyon ni Jodi Santamaria. Matatandaang kinumpirma ni Iwa na ang kasalukuyang nagpapasaya sa kaniya ngayon ay ang asawa ni Jodi. Magkahiwalay ngayon sina Jodi Santamaria at asawang si Pampi Lacson. Matatandaang naugnay na noon sina Iwa Moto at Jodi Santamaria sa isa’t-isa nang maugnay ang Kapamilya actress sa huling naging nobyo ng Kapuso star.

Sa isang panayam ni Iwa ay inamin nito na dalawang taon na ang nakararaan nang may mamagitan sa kaniyang dating nobyo at kay Jodi.

Ikinuwento ni Iwa Moto na noong panahong inaayos nila ng dating nobyo ang kanilang relasyon ay naisip niya ang mga taong maaapektuhan lalong-lalo na ang anak ng binata at ang anak ni Jodi Santamaria. Matatandaang itinanggi ng dalawang sangkot sa isyu na sila ay may relasyon. Hayagang sinabi ni Iwa sa interview na si Jodi raw ang naging babae noon ng dati niyang nobyo. Pumasok din umano si Jodi Santamaria sa buhay nila habang inaayos ni Iwa Moto ang ng binata ang kanilang relasyon. Sa mga oras din daw na iyon ay kasal pa sina Jodi at Pampi.

Ang dahilan umano kung bakit tuluyan nang nagsalita si Iwa ay dahil pinapalabas sa istasyon ni Jodi na ang Kapuso star ang may dahilan ng hiwalyan ng mag-asawa. Kahit naman daw hindi sabihin nang diretso ay nababasa na ni Iwa Moto na ito raw ang gusto ipahiwatig ng naturang mga balita. Aminado si Iwa na nasaktan siya dahil marami raw ang nanghuhusga sa kaniya bilang isang kabit at maninira ng pamilya. Alam din daw ni Jodi kung ano ang katotohanan dahil siya raw ang nag-umpisa nito.

May mga pruweba rin daw si Iwa Moto na makakapagpatunay sa ginawa ni Jodi Santamaria sa kaniya. Pinili na lang daw itago ni Iwa ang mga ito para raw hindi na lumaki pa ang isyu. Malinis naman daw ang konsensya ng dalaga dahil dumating siya sa buhay ni Pampi ay hiwalay na ito sa naturang aktres. Pinili noon ng dalaga na manahimik dahil inakala niya raw na matatapos na ang naturang isyu patungkol sa kanila ni Jodi Santamaria. Ngayon ay nagsalita na si Iwa Moto dahil pati pamilya niya umano ay nadadamay na.

Carlene Aguilar, Dennis Trillo may problema?

Sa pagbabalik ni Carlene Aguilar sa pag-arte ay muling naungkat ang relasyon niya sa dating nobyo na si Dennis Trillo. Mayroong anak sina Carlene at Dennis kung kaya ito ang dahilan kung bakit hindi pa rin napuputol ang pag-uugnay sa dalawa. Pinasinungalingan naman ni Carlene Aguilar na binabalak ng kaniyang asawa na ampunin si Calix Andreas na anak niya sa aktor na si Dennis Trillo. Hindi raw totoo na balak nilang palitan ang apelyido ng bata at ililipat sa kasalukuyang apelyido ng asawa ng dating Bb. Pilipinas-World.  Alam ni Carlene na nagulat din si Dennis sa naturang balita na pag-aampon sa kaniyang anak.

Ayon kay Carlene Aguilar, gusto niya na siya ang kausapin ni Dennis Trillo kapag nagkakaroon ng mga isyu sa pagitan nilang dalawa.

Hindi naman nagkaproblema ang dating magkarelasyon dito dahil nagkausap agad sila nang maayos. Hindi itinanggi ni Carlene na malaki na ang ipinagbago nila ngayon ni Dennis lalo na pagdating sa kanilang anak. Nahihilig naman ngayon ang bata sa mga matatamis kung kaya sinabihan ni Carlene Aguilar si Dennis Trillo na huwag na munang bigyan ang kanilang anak ng mga matatamis na pagkain. Bukod dito ay gusto raw ni Carlene na kapag grounded ang bata sa kanilang tahanan ay ganun din daw sana kapag pumunta ito sa tahanan ni Dennis.

Aminado ang aktres na spoiled ang kaniyang anak pagdating sa dating nobyo. Kaya sinisigurado ni Carlene Aguilar na dinidisiplina niya ang bata para raw lumaki nang maayos. Kapag nagtatantrums ang kaniyang anak ay tanging kay Carlene lang daw ito nakikinig. Sa tuwing walang trabaho si Dennis Trillo ay hinihiram nito ang anak kay Carlene Aguilar. Iniiwasan na lang daw nilang dalawa na magkaroon pa ng usapan dahil maaaring hindi ito masunod na baka magresulta pa sa hindi maganda.

Wala naman daw problema si Carlene sa bagong karelasyon ni Dennis ngayon. Napapabalitang ang bagong nobya ngayon ni Dennis Trillo ay ang Kapuso actress na si Bianca King. Magkakilala naman daw ang dalawang dalaga at walang problema sa isa’t-isa. Minsan daw ay nagpapadala rin ng cookies si Bianca sa bata kung kaya natutuwa naman si Carlene sa pagiging sweet nito sa kaniyang anak. Wala raw problema sa kaniya kung mas nakikinig ang kaniyang anak sa nobya ni Dennis Trillo kesa sa ama nito. Ang mahalaga raw kay Carlene Aguilar ay nakikita niyang inaalagaan ang bata sa tuwing sila ay magkasama.

Nagtatanong din minsan si Calix patungkol sa kaniyang dalawang tinuturing na ama. Sa ngayon ay may Daddy Yo ito na asawa ni Carlene at Daddy Dennis. Sinasagot naman daw nito ni Carlene Aguilar dahil ayaw niyang magtanong pa ang bata sa ibang tao at makakuha pa raw ito ng maling sagot. Sa ngayon ay ipinapaliwanag na lang ng dalaga sa kaniyang anak ang sitwasyon nila ni Dennis Trillo na naaayon sa pagkakaintindi nito.
