Lady Gaga Cancelled Indonesia Concert Due to Life Threats
Lady Gaga cancelled her June 3 Indonesia concert when promoters revealed the security threat was too serious after Islamic hardliners promised "chaos" if she entered the Muslim nation.
The promoters had indicated that a deal was being hammered out to tone down the June 3 concert in Jakarta, but the US star's management had stood firm, vowing there would be no compromise to appease religious conservatives.
"Lady Gaga's management has considered the situation minute to minute, and with threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga's side is calling off the concert," Minola Sebayang, lawyer for promoters Big Daddy, told reporters.
"This is not only about Lady Gaga's security, but extends to those who will be watching her."
The flamboyant performer, who has nearly 25 million followers on Twitter - the highest number on the social networking site - wrote just hours before the announcement was made: "There is nothing Holy about hatred."
After the announcement the show was off, thousands of her fans, who call themselves "little monsters", sent a flurry of Twitter messages to persuade her to go ahead with the concert.
Earlier this month Jakarta police refused approval for the show after the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) threatened violence if Lady Gaga performed, calling her a "devil's messenger" who wears only a "bra and panties".
Big Daddy president director Michael Rusli said it was "unfortunate" that the show, part of Lady Gaga's tour of Asia that drew protests from Christian groups in the Philippines and South Korea, had to be called off.
"For the past few days we have communicated with the government and Lady Gaga's side. The government has given support, but this is not about the permit," he said. "The cancellation is really due to concerns over security."
More than 50,000 tickets had been sold for the event at the Bung Karno Stadium, but FPI Jakarta chairman Habib Salim Alatas said the cancellation was "good news" for Muslims in Indonesia.
"FPI is grateful that she has decided not to come. Indonesians will be protected from sin brought about by this Mother Monster, the destroyer of morals," he told AFP.
"Lady Gaga fans, stop complaining. Repent and stop worshipping the devil. Do you want your lives taken away by God as infidels?"
The FPI has about seven million followers and has been known to raid pubs and clubs.
Lady Gaga is scheduled to play three shows in Singapore this week. She was due to play in Jakarta after that, before flying to New Zealand and Australia, and then to Europe on her "Born This Way Ball" tour.
Indonesian fans had suggested that Big Daddy look for another venue outside the capital after Jakarta police refused to give approval, but Rusli said "this is a huge concert so it can't be moved elsewhere".
"Nowhere else in Indonesia can accommodate that many people", he said, insisting that the 26-year-old singer was "prepared to adapt to Asian culture".
The star's manager Troy Carter said in Singapore on Thursday that Lady Gaga would not tone down her concerts.
Ninety percent of Indonesia's 240 million people identify themselves as Muslim, making it the world's largest Islamic-majority nation.
In the past, pop stars including Beyonce and The Pussycat Dolls have been allowed to perform in the country on condition they wore more conservative dress than usual.

MYX VJ Search 2012 - 12 Finalists Announced
MYX is prepping up the stage for the next VJ that will conquer the MYX scene as the number one music channel in the Philippines launches the MYX VJ Search 2012.
The nation’s premier VJ search is now on its 6th year; among the winners of the past installments of the competition are Chino Lui-Pio (2008), Bianca Roque (2008), and Joyce Pring (2011).
Hundreds of hopefuls flocked to the audition venues to show their hosting prowess to the screening committee of MYX. Clad in their best garb and equipped with their determination to be the next main guy/girl of MYX, aspirers raided the audition dates last April 21, 28, May 5 and 12, 2012 (1 – 6 p.m.) at the ABS-CBN Studio 12.
There may be hundreds of aspiring MYX VJ’s but only 12 will complete the roster of MYX VJ Search 2012 finalists. Among charming lady contenders are teacher/host/make-up artist/vocalist K.A, bright and bubbly Karen, Singaporean but Filipino-by-heart Michelle, witty Sotto-clan member Paulina, band manager/Yuzon-sister Ysab, and Ericka, one of the voices behind the hit-song “12:51”.
On the other hand, the boys who aspire to be the next male spotlight-stealer are sassy and unique Kevii, sports commentator-wannabe Mike, music producer/UP student Mica, charming Cebuano Marcky, lucky third-time auditionee Hadi, and singing cutie Anjo.
For the past searches, some of the MYX VJ hopefuls won by the massive text votes coming from their fans but in this latest installment, the winners will solely be on the hands of MYX. But fans are still definitely involved, among MYX’s consideration in picking the winner is on how the finalists interact with the public and their fans. So, fan-finalist connection remains important.
The finalists of the search will undergo a training experience process and different fun tasks and challenges led by the main MYX VJs (Nikki, Luis, Iya, Chino, Bianca and Joyce) lasting for a month and a half. Jake Cuenca, paborito ng ABS-CBN
Sunod-sunod na naman ang magiging proyekto ng aktor na si Jake Cuenca sa kaniyang network na ABS-CBN. Itinanggi naman ng binata na paborito siya ng ABS-CBN kaya walang humpay ang dating ng trabaho sa kaniya. Aabangan na naman ang bagong teleserye ni Jake sa ABS-CBN kahit hindi pa natatapos ang kaniyang panghapong serye kasama si Shaina Magdayao.
Unang pagkakataon na makasama ni Jake Cuenca ang mga bigating artista na sina Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado at Andi Eigenmann para sa programang Kahit Puso’y Masugatan. Mag-uumpisa na ang taping nila para sa bagong serye ng ABS-CBN ngayong linggo.
Kakaiba raw ang kombinasyon ngayon kung kaya mas excited ang binatang si Jake makatrabaho ang iba’t-ibang artista. Masaya si Jake Cuenca dahil maganda ang istorya na ibinigay sa kaniya ng ABS-CBN lalo na at patungkol ito sa pagmamahalan. Naniniwala si Jake na walang paboritong artista ang ABS-CBN. Maaaring nakita lang siguro ng management na masipag siya at willing pang matuto sa pag-arte. Swerte lang umano si Jake Cuenca dahil nakasama niya ang mga kilalang magagaling na artista ng ABS-CBN. Ipinagmamalaki ni Jake na isa siyang propesyonal na aktor at ang bagong teleserye sa ABS-CBN umano ang kaniyang premyo rito.
Sigurado naman daw si Jake Cuenca na hindi mababawasan ang kalidad ng kaniyang trabaho kahit pa pagsasabayin niya ang kaniyang mga trabaho sa ABS-CBN. Aminado si Jake na medyo mahirap ang pinasok niya lalong-lalo na at maaaring magkasabay pa ang mga taping niya. Confident si Jake Cuenca na magagawa niya ito dahil naranasan niya na rin ito noon nang gumagawa siya ng pelikulang In The Name of Love at teleserye sa ABS-CBN na Green Rose. Matapos daw kasi ng dalawang proyektong iyon ay nakapahinga naman si Jake para mapaghandaan na ang kaniyang bagong schedule sa telebisyon.
Bukod sa bagong teleserye ng ABS-CBN ay gagawa rin ng isang indie film si Jake Cuenca sa direksyon ni Tikoy Aguiluz. Makakasama niya rin dito ang kaniyang kapwa ABS-CBN star na si Gerald Anderson. Matagal na raw kasing pinangarap nina Jake at Gerald ang ganung klaseng proyekto simula pa noong nagkatrabaho sila sa teleserye ng ABS-CBN na Tayong Dalawa. Hindi na ito tinanggihan pa ni Jake Cuenca dahil makakasama niya ang kaniyang pinakamalalpit na kaibigan sa ABS-CBN at isang magaling na direktor. Ginawan na rin daw ng paraan ng schedule ng dalawang aktor para maging posible ang kanilang pinapangarap na proyekto.
Vic Sotto, suportado ni Tito Sotto sa pagiging mayor
Malakas ang bulung-bulungan na tatakbo si Vic Sotto bilang mayor ng Quezon City ngayong darating na eleksyon. Sa huling panaayam kay Senator Tito Sotto ay inamin nito na napapag-usapan ito nila ng kaniyang kapatid na si Vic. Kinakausap daw kasi si Vic Sotto ng iba’t-ibang tao patungkol sa isyung pagtakbo sa eleksyon ngayong taong 2013. Nilinaw naman ni Tito na wala pang plano ang kapatid patungkol sa pagtakbo. Paminsan-minsan daw ay napapag-usapan nila ito ni Vic lalo na kapag sila ay nagkikitang mga magkakapatid.
Iginiit ni Tito Sotto na walang plano si Vic Sotto pati ang kanilang pamilya na tumakbo ito bilang mayor. Kapag naririnig daw ito ni Vic ay lalo raw itong umaayaw ngayong hindi niya naman daw nakikita na kailangan niya talagang tumakbo.
Sapat na raw ang pagserbisyo ni Vic Sotto sa publiko sa pamamagitan ng programa nilang Eat Bulaga. Bukod sa pagiging entertainment program ng kanilang noontime show ay nakakatulong na rin daw ito sa mga kababayang Pilipino dahil sa mga ipinamimigay na premyo lalong-lalo na sa mga nangangailangang tao. Kung sakali raw kasing sumali si Vic sa pulitika ay agad naman itong susuportahan ng kaniyang kapatid na si Tito. Gusto ni Sen. Tito Sotto na sumali si Vic Sotto sa kaniyang political party. Nagbiro pa si Tito na huwag nang hintaying magalit si Vic dahil maaari itong tumakbo sa pagiging mayor.
Naniniwala naman si Herbert Bautista na kasalukuyang mayor ng Quezon City na hindi siya kakalabanin ng kaniyang kaibigang si Vic Sotto. Kung sakali kasi ay may posibilidad na maging magkatunggali si Herbert at Vic sa posisyon ng pagka-mayor ngayong 2013. Bukod kay Tito Sotto ay kinumpirma rin ng senior vice president and chief operating officer ng Tape, Inc. na hindi tatakbo si Vic Sotto sa naturang posisyon. Ang Tape, Inc. ang producer ng noontime show ng magkapatid na Sotto. Ayon kay Tito Sotto, sapat na raw na siya lang ang bumibitbit ng pangalan nila sa mundo ng pulitika. Wala pa namang nanggagaling na kumpirmasyon galing kay Vic Sotto mismo patungkol sa isyu pero inunahan na siya ng kaniyang kapatid na si Tito Sotto patungkol dito at kinumpirma sa press na hindi mangyayari ang pagtakbo ng host sa 2013.

Sharon Stone Nanny Erlinda Elemen Sues the Actress for Racial Slur and Unjust Treatment
In her lawsuit, Erlinda Elemen claims Sharon would not cut her a break, berating her for her religion, even forbidding her from reading the Bible in her own room in Sharon's house.
Elemen also said Sharon ordered her not to speak to her kids because she did not want them to talk like her.
The actress also allegedly tried to take back the overtime she was paid and repeatedly verbally attacked her for 3 weeks in front of guests, staff and others before firing her in February 2011.

Peta Murgatroyd and Donald Driver are Dancing with the Stars Winners
Professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd and her star partner NFL player Donald Driver were crowned Dancing with the Stars Season 14 winners during Tuesday night's live finale results show on ABC.
Driver and Murgatroyd were declared Dancing with the Stars' champions based on the combination of their share of the judges' Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli scoring points from Monday and Tuesday night's three finale performance rounds and their share of the home viewer votes that were cast immediately after Monday's two initial rounds.
Opera singer Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas finished second place. While, Mexican telenovela star William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke landed on third place.
