So ...Catriona Gray is indeed Miss Philippines World 2016

A few months ago, there was this video done by a Latin American (?) which in a way predicted that the next Miss Philippines World would be the model Catriona Gray (the first video). I've already done a draft of an article featuring the prediction, even preparing a collage of the best poses of the girl (collage above), but for some reason, I forgot to post it.

It turned out the prediction was right. She indeed won. Catriona will be the representative of the Philippines to this year's Miss World competition.

I was scanning my drafts when I saw the missed file. Better late than never. The second video shows the coronation.

Watch: Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2 teaser trailer starring Eugene Domingo and Jericho Rosales

Watch: Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2 teaser trailer starring Eugene Domingo and Jericho Rosales

Eugene Domingo is back as "Eugene Domingo" in this much-anticipated follow-up to the independent box-office hit movie, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank.

Together with her director/writer Rainier (Kean Cipriano), her line producer Jocelyn (Cai Cortez), and their rookie production assistant Lennon (Khalil Ramos), Eugene prepares for her comeback vehicle after a long sabbatical from moviemaking.

Rainier proposes "The Itinerary," a heartbreaking anatomy of a crumbling marriage as told through a couple's trip to Baguio, their former honeymoon location.

Eugene Domingo is excited by the project but she has other ideas in mind. In the film-within-the-film, we see Eugene's absurd suggestions and recommendations -- changing Rainier's script by employing the poetics of the Pinoy romantic comedy genre into what is supposedly a realistic portrayal of love and marriage.

Convict Jaybee Sebastian Impresses Senate Hearing TV Viewers For Being So Articulate & Self Confident On Camera

THE WINNER IN the recent congressional hearings is apparently convict Jaybee Sebastian. If you'd read the feedback on him in social, a lot of people were impressed because he's so articulate, oozing with confidence, very polite and projects himself well on camera. No wonder he gained lots of fans, especially when he's compared to the congressmen who grilled him for 13 straight hours who appeared as dumb asses. Too bad for Sen. Leila de Lima that the main witness against her seems and sounds so credible.

But the congressmen should have been prepared for him because even in that Bilibid docu on Discovery Channel, Jaybee already showed that he has charisma and is very fluent in speaking in English. He talks even better than some of the congressmen. Obviously, he impressed even the congressmen themselves that they even asked his advice on what to do to stop the drug trade in Bilibid. He said cell phones must be confiscated and not allowed inside the prison, and that prison facilities should be improved.

Jaybee should make a good case study on why someone so obviously intelligent and talented went wayward and forayed into a life of crime. He was just 21 when arrested, convicted and sentenced to two life terms for kidnapping a businessman. He's now 36 and has spent 15 years in jail where he has become a superstar jailbird. Can he still lead a new life outside of prison or is he already beyond redemption? Only God in his infinite wisdom knows.

Ben Affleck's Dark Secret Life Outed in Riveting New Thriller THE ACCOUNTANT

"It's always compelling when people have secrets - when you think someone is one thing and then discover they're something else entirely," says Gavin O'Connor, director of the upcoming thriller "The Accountant" from Warner Bros. Pictures.

That is certainly the case with the title character of "The Accountant." At first glance, math savant Christian Wolff seems to be nothing more than a storefront CPA, right down to his spreadsheets and pocket protector. However, his usual clientele are among the world's most powerful crime lords, and his mild-mannered demeanor and somewhat innocuous appearance belie the fact that he may be more dangerous than any of them.

Ben Affleck, who stars in the role, notes, "The story speaks to the duality in all of us. It might be easy to pigeonhole a guy like Chris, but we find out he's capable of much more than you imagine."

The actor goes on to reveal that there is another unexpected wrinkle to Christian, who is able to crunch more than just numbers. "On the one hand, he's this effectively trained fighter and on the other, he's a math savant. Those facets of his personality - seemingly at odds in him - were unlike anything I've ever done before and made it both exciting and challenging."

O'Connor agrees. "The center point of the film was this fascinating character that I loved and wanted to explore. How did he become this man? How did he get those skills? How did he become this lethal fighter? The story has intertwining puzzles, which gave it a high IQ factor and made it especially intriguing."

Screenwriter Bill Dubuque affirms, "The concept of an accountant - a profession that we normally think of as pretty mundane - who is outside what most would consider conventional and had extraordinary abilities was something different. If you're a mainstream company and think someone's embezzling funds, you have a team of accountants who can determine where the money is going. But if you're a drug cartel or a Mafia kingpin, you can't do that. You've got to be able to call somebody who can come in, figure out the patterns in your books, and say, 'This is where the leak is.' And then get out. As I thought more about what would make this person special, I hit on the notion that he is on the autism spectrum. But he uses it to his advantage, and I just loved the idea of that."

O'Connor emphasizes, "We learned the term 'spectrum' is especially fitting because there is really no single type of autism; every person is an individual and at a different place on that spectrum. Christian is fictional and not based on anyone in real life - his remarkable aptitude for figures is a gift and his physical attributes are a product of his unique upbringing."

Dubuque surrounded Christian with other characters that are just as multifaceted, pointing out, "Almost no one is really who they seem to be."

Producer Lynette Howell Taylor says, "Bill created a fantastically written screenplay. I had never read anything like it before and found it completely unpredictable, which is always a good sign. There were twists that took me by surprise and I had a couple of gasp moments. That's what ultimately made me want to make the movie."

Opening across the Philippines on November 02, "The Accountant" is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company.

Eat Bulaga's Twitter account admin blocks fans and everyone is clueless

Some followers of Eat Bulaga's account on Twitter are wondering why some accounts of Aldub Nation's Team Abroad are being blocked by the admin of the noontime show's social media account.

Showbiz veteran columnist Nora Calderon called the attention of EB admin and asked why are they blocking the accounts of Team Abroad (refers to fans are overseas).

Eat Bulaga's Twitter account admin blocks fans and everyone is clueless

Most of these account owners are just clueless.

But it looks like the blocking of accounts stemmed from AlDUb fans have been criticizing the show or who are just too passionate to give their suggestions based on this tweet. Hmmm...
What could have gone wrong?
