FB Messenger looks like Snapchat and Instagram Stories in one

So surprised to open my Facebook Messenger today with this brand new camera feature within the app where you can now post photo and video stories, like those of Snapchat and Instagram Stories. (Oops! That's not really new.)

A message from FB Messenger, containing instructions on how to use the new feature. It says, FB users can now customize their photos and videos.

FB Messenger boasts that you have thousands of stickers, masks and frames to choose from.



If in case you can't choose, then you can just create your own art.

If Snapchat calls it "My Story", Instagram labels it as "Your Story", Facebook meanwhile has it as "My Day", which is also viewable for 24 hours.


My celebrity friends haven't tried it yet, but here's a sample from my friend Jen.

Just minor differences. Using the new FB Messenger feature is like doin' Snapchat and IG stories on Facebook.

Obviously, Facebook is killing competitions, by keeping the users in their site forever. They introduced Facebook Live (to rival Youtube and Twitter's Periscope), Instant Articles (vs sites and blogs) and now the newest FB Messenger (vs Snapchat and IG).

Ogie Alcasid Is Now Officially A Kapamilya As Judge In 'Tawag Ng Tanghalan' And 'Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids'

OGIE ALCASID was officially presented to the press by ABS-CBN as a Kapamilya artista in a solo presscon introducing him as one of the judges of "Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids" that starts airing on January 7. He will sit in the jury alongside Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and Megastar Sharon Cuneta. The musical competition will give total transformation to eight kiddie celebrity performers, who will impersonate local and international music icons and provide viewers with a concert-like entertainment experience. He's also a judge in "Tawag ng Tanghalan".

Was it easy for him to decide to be a Kapamilya? "No, especially when you are at the crossroads of your career," says Ogie. "It's the Lord who helped me to come back here. It was the right time and it was a process. I was invited several times to guest here in various shows and the welcome was very warm. They reminded me, dito ka naman nagsimula, e. And it's true. My first TV show was 'Small Brothers' with Janno Gibbs in 1993, followed by 'Mana-Mana' and 'Game na Game'. In 1994, Ms. Cory Vidanes got me to be the tourist guide of the Miss Universe candidates and that's where I met my first wife. Then they offered me 'Your Face Sounds Familia: Kids'. Gusto ko raw ba? And why not? How can you say no when I will be with good friends Gary Valenciano and Sharon Cuneta? And with kids pa. So the program really appeals to me."


Ogie says he has signed an exclusive multi-platform contract with ABS-CBN, which means he can also in teleseryes and do movies. What makes him a perfect judge for "Your Face Kids," however, is his solid background as a comedian both on television and in film. Having received various awards for his comedy work, Ogie has played different characters and performed gags that appeal to an all-ages audience. His expertise will be seen in "Your Face Kids" as he critiques the live performances of celebrity kids, namely child star Alonzo Muhlach, "The Voice Kids" Seasons 1 and 2 champions Lyca Gairanod and Elha Nympha, "The Voice Kids" artist Justin Alva, Yey! channel host Sam Shoaf, "Langit Lupa's" Xia Vigor, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano's" Awra, and "Dance Kids" champion AC Bonifacio of Lucky Aces. How will Ogie be as judge?

WATCH: Yassi Pressman and Baninay Bautista in a twerk showdown (PBB Lucky Season 7)

Yassi Pressman was a houseguest in Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 episode last night where she had a twerk showdown with Baninay Bautista.

It was all in the name of Oreo cookies, which Tanner Mata miss. The winning team will win a plate of Oreos.

Tanner joined Yassi's team, along with Jerom Alecre.

Baninay's team, meanwhile, had Luis Hontiveros and Wil Dasovich.

The remaining housemates, Cora Waddell and Aura Azarcon, became the judges.

Yassi was named Best Dancer, but it was Baninay's group that won.

Sadly, Tanner didn't win the plate of Oreos. But he was eventually given 7 bags of Oreos by Yassi so he was still a winner.

Aiai Delas Alas meets with Star Cinema executives to discuss 2017 movie

Comedy queen Aiai Delas Alas announced on Thursday, December 15, through her Instagram account that she'll be doing another movie with Star Cinema.

Delas Alas was seen with the film outfit's top executives like Malou Santos, Olivia Lamasan, Roxy Liquigan, and others including her manager Boy Abunda. She was too ecstatic with the announcement and wrote in the caption,

Delas Alas was with ABS-CBN for 14 years before she jumped ship to its rival network GMA7 last year.

She clarified in the comments section that her project with ABS-CBN was for movies only.

Kantar Media National TV Ratings (December 7-11, 2016) - Awra's MMK episode wins

The Maalaala Mo Kaya episode featuring the life story of Mcneal "Awra" Briguela won in the national television ratings on Saturday, December 10, 2016, based on Kantar Media's data.

The MMK episode got 31.1%, ranking no. 1 in the Top 20 programs of that day. It beat its rival program, Magpakailanman, which only got 21.2%.

The finale episode of Pinoy Boyband Superstar which featured the announcement of the rest of the winners last Sunday, Dec. 11, also won with 29.8% national rating.

MY FAITHFUL HUSBAND opens December 25 on My TV Africa

GMA is not only resurgent in the local scene. It is throttling in a big way internationally in a wide geographic arc, from Southeast Asia to Africa. Another GMA teleserye, My Faithful Husband, starring Jennilyn Mercado, will open on December 25 replacing the ABS-CBN hit teleserye Bridges of Love.

ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2016 "Kilig" Prod feat. KathNiel, LizQuen and JaDine

#ABSCBNChristmasSpecial ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2016 was taped last Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum and will be aired in 2 parts this weekend.

It featured the network's pool of talents taking part in different
performances, the most-applauded perhaps was that "kilig" prod of this
generation's biggest love teams - KathNiel, LizQuen and JaDine.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, and James
Reid and Nadine Lustre shared one stage to perform for the fans, certainly drawing the loudest cheers from the crowd that evening. Watch their prod on this video:

Did you hear the super loud screams of their fans? I bet you had a hard time listening to what they're singing. But simply seeing them altogether in that kilig number is already a huge delight for everyone.

The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2016 will be aired tomorrow night, Dec. 17, after MMK and don Sunday, Dec. 18, after Wansapanataym.
