Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington dies a day after he liked a tweet about Eminem and death

The world is mourning the death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who died in an apparent suicide at his residence in Los Angeles Thursday, July 20. He was only 41.

I myself am deeply saddened by this news about Chester Bennington's death. Their songs were part of many people's childhood, including mine, and I can still remember, we even used the intro part of their biggest hit "In The End" in our group presentation for an inter-class choral recitation during college.

THE LAST TWEET CHESTER LIKED
As news of his death takes over Twitter, I came across the last tweet that Chester
liked using his Twitter account (@ChesterBe). A day before he died, someone with the handle @AahladCom wished if Chaz (his nickname) could do a collaboration with Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly and Kendrick Lamar, and if that happens, all will die happy, the guy said in his tweet. Perhaps Chester loved the idea, and he liked it.

The guy was ecstatic over Chester liking his tweet that day, expressed that he's done with his life now and he can now expect Chester's collab with Eminem.

A day later, Chester died and a collaboration with Eminem is obviously not going to happen. - Mykiru.ph

'Eat Bulaga' Celebrates Its 38th Anniversary, Making It The Longest Running Entertainment Show On Local TV

'EAT BULAGA' is currently celebrating its 38th year on the air, making it the longest running entertainment show on local TV. And after almost four decades, viewers have not gotten tired of the "isanlibo't isang tuwa" that it brings to them every noontime, making "Eat Bulaga" a perennial toprater.

As one of its original hosts, Joey de Leon, says: "Naging extension na ng mga tahanan natin ang 'Eat Bulaga' through the years. We've been through seven presidents and counting. We've been to three different networks: starting with RPN 9, then ABS-CBN and now GMA-7. Through it all, dapat kasali lagi ang audience. Hindi namin inilalayo ang sarili namin sa kanila. Dapat connected kami sa masses ng viewers. At dapat, laging may reinvention, para hindi magsawa ang tao. Kailangan one of them ka, kailangan maabot ka nila lagi. It's also a public service show dahil sa dami ng mga taong natutulungan nito sa buong bansa."

It was in 1979 that Mr. Antonio Tuviera of TAPE (Television and Production Exponents), offered Tito, Vic & Joey to host a new show to be pitted against the then top noontime show, "Student Canteen". "Eat Bulaga" quickly climbed up the ratings chart and became a habit for local TV viewers. Through the years, it has introduced about 300 amusing segments including "Little Miss Philippines", "Pinoy Henyo", "Super Sireyna", "Mr. Pogi", "Laban o Bawi", "Juan for All" and "Kalyeserye".

Aside from TVJ, other hosts of the show who made their mark through the years are Jimmy Santos, Allan K, Anjo Yllana, Ryan Agoncillo, Ruby Rodriguez, Pia Guanio, Pauleen Luna, and the current young hosts like Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Baeby Baste. "Malaki ang utang na loob namin ni Maine sa 'Eat Bulaga' dahil gumanda ang takbo ng aming careers," says Alden. "Sana maging part kami ng show for many more years. Ang feeling ko kasi rito, parang buong pamilya kami talaga and it's truly a big blessing."

To "Eat Bulaga", our congratulations and we wish you more happy years of being number one on the air.

Starstruck 6 2nd Runner Up Jay Arcilla Is Diana Zubiri's Leading Man In New Episode Of 'Dear Uge'

JAY ARCILLA is the second runner up in the last Starstruck 6. He's now a member of the boy band One Up that sings regularly in "Celebrity Bluff". We got to interview him on the set of "Dear Uge" where he plays Diana Zubiri's patient suitor. Does he know he's just a second choice for the role as the actor they originally wanted for it was not available?

"Okay lang po sa'kin," he says. "Ang dinig ko nga, third choice pa ko. And I don't mind. Basta ang importante, sa'kin napunta ang role and it's an honor makatrabaho si Ms. Diana Zubiri."

How come Dave Bornea, who didn't even make it as one of the 14 finalists in Starstruck 6, now gets bigger roles than him, like in "Alyas Robin Hood" and "Meant to Be"?

"Walang kaso po yun. Magkapatid kami kasi we both belong to One Up. Hindi naman po ako naze-zero. I've appeared in 'Little Nanay' and 'Usapang Real Love'. As endorser of Boardwalk, nakalibot na ako sa buong Pilipinas. Basta tiyaga lang at laging pagbutihin ang trabaho."

We ask Diana Zubiri how Jay is as her leading man? "Magaling siyang umarte. May future siya sa showbiz."

Of course, this positive and very encouraging comment from Diana flattered Jay to no end.
