Pinoy Boyband Superstar - Markus Paterson is eliminated #BoybandPH1stElim

Members of last night's weakest group (composed of Henz Villaraiz, Markus Paterson and Niel Murillo) performed individually during the Sunday episode of Pinoy Boyband Superstar to prove that they are worthy to remain in the competition.

The boyband member wannabe that will be eliminated will come from weakest group. One lucky contestant will be saved by the judges, one will be saved by the votes, and the other one will be eliminated.

Henz Villaraiz performed Liwanag Sa Dilim to get the judges' favor or the public votes.

He seemed to have impressed the judges. All four of them (Vice Ganda, Sandara Park, Yeng Constantino and Aga Muhlach) all praised him for his performance. Vice even said that he would definitely be sad if Henz got eliminated.

Second to perform was Niel Murillo who chose to sing Westlife's I Lay My Love On You. It showcased how good he sings but Vice he didn't look like a member of a boyband.

Markus Paterson was the last to perform, choosing Sam Smith's Stay With Me to impress the judges and the viewers. He showed some control and vocal quality in his heartfelt performance that he dedicated to his dad. Vice said he both had the charm of Henz and the good singing voice of Niel.

The voting lines were opened after all the performances. Fans could vote via SMS and via Google. Voting ran until after the special performance of the Boyband of the Week (composed of Ford Valencia, James Ryan Cesena and Joao Constancia). The winning group covered One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful to the "kilig" of the female audience.

And then it was time for the result of the public votes.

Getting a combined text and Google votes percentage of 56.09%, the one saved by the public was Niel Murillo!

After a commercial gap, the judges voted between Henz and Markus:

Sandara - Henz

Yeng - Henz

Vice - Markus

Aga - Henz

So Henz got 3 votes and Markus, 1. It only meant that Henz stayed and Markus got eliminated.

As Yeng told Markus after his performance, though, she was sure he would have a singing career given the right opportunity. And when he was announced as the eliminated contestant, the Pop-rock Superstar said she would surely buy his album when he makes one.

But had there been a tie in the judges' votes, the result would be based on the votes from text and Google. Here's the tally:

Niel - 56.09%

Markus - 29.86%

Henz - 14.25%

Pacquiao-Vargas Fight Is Streaming On Facebook Live!

 

Months after his retirement, the Filipino Champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is back and ready to dance one last time, as he squares off against the much younger Jessie Varga

 

And common to Filipinos is how everything just slows down on the day that Manny fights.

Facebook Live has become a huge success in the Philippines as it caters to many needs and wants of Filipinos.

For those who cannot afford cable television to watch the big fight, many fan pages are now live streaming the fight. The Facebook Live is being broadcast to other Facebook users from inside the Thomas and Mack Center.

As of posting, the live stream is now featuring the co-main event which is the fight of Nonito Donaire where he will defend his title as WBO Super Bantamweight Champion against the undefeated challenger Jessie Magdaleno.

A Pacquiao victory against Vargas will not only cement his legacy in boxing, as he has long done that, but will only prove himself as a new class of his own – a lawmaker who delivers haymakers.

At the age of 37, he is the only boxer to win world titles in 8  different weight classes.

The moment he steps into the ring to face his younger and taller opponent, Pacquiao will make the record books as the first senator to be inside the ring.

Beating Vargas and winning the title will also make him the first senator to become a world champion.

“I want to set another record in the history of boxing as the first senator and champion,” Pacquiao, trying to stretch his good years inside the ring, said up on stage during Friday’s official weigh-in at the Encore Theater of Wynn Hotel.

“It will mean a lot because it will be a big honor for my country,” the senator said.

There's no turning back to ABS-CBN. Nor the much-publicized transfer to GMA Network. 

It's official! Kris Aquino is moving to PTV4 and TV5.

Kris on Sunday, November 6, reveals that she will make her TV comeback via Kapatid network and the government owned TV station PTV4.

She announced through her IG account that she will hosting a one-on-one interview with incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte, the successor of her brother Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino.

"7 months of not hosting on TV. I promised myself, babalik ako for a once in a lifetime, one on one interview." she posted.

She also revealed that her interview with President Duterte will air on November 11, 2016.

This announcement comes a few days after her November announcement that she has resumed work by creating video blog posts.

On November 2 she wrote, "Back to work today. So much happening this November. Nagiipon ng ...video blog posts (haven't written this regularly since my Doreen Fernandez days in Ateneo), preparing for 3 major corporate presentations next week, finalizing our new office space, meeting for a new advocacy I'm so excited to be part of for Go Negosyo w/c launches next week..."

Former Actor Jimmy Morato & Former PNP Chief Samuel Pagdilao Join 8Trimedia As New Anchors Of RZRJ 810AM

 JIMMY MORATO was one of the resident actors of Larry Santiago Productions in the late 60s and he did one movie after another with them, like "Tisoy" (different from the Bernal version made with Boyet de Leon), "Dear Kuya Cesar", "Cleopakwak", "Pomposa, ang Kabayong Tsismosa", and he also did "Stardoom" with the late Lino Brocka. He then branched out to radio as a broadcaster.

"It was Radio Veritas who first invited me," he says. "At first, ayoko, kasi nasa pelikula ako noon. Then napilit ako and I did the showbiz news sa show ni Rey Langit. At yun, nagtuloy-tuloy na ako sa radyo."

He's now hosting "Chachahin Mo Baby" on DZRJ 810AM and 8Trimedia.com Monday to Friday, 4 to 5 PM. He joins the other seasoned anchors of DZRJ like Gani Oro, Neil Ocampo and Gen. Samuel Pagdilao. "We're a family here and we're ready to compete head on with the other networks," he adds. "Puro de kalidad ang shows namin."


He looks so much like the dad of Alden Richards. Is he still willing to go back to acting and do father roles? "Oo naman. Diyan ako nanggaling and I wouldn't be where I am now in broadcasting kundi dahil sa showbiz roots ko. Yes, I'm willing to do father roles, kahit na grandfather roles pa."

Gen. Samuel Pagdilao, Jr. or Sir Tsip was a former PNP Chief and was also a congressman from 2013 to 2016. Born in Cotabato on February 13, 1957, he grew up in Gen. San. He was a college freshman at MAPUA then he was accepted at the Philippine Military Academy where he graduated in 1979 with the Matapat class. He later took up law at UST then public administration at MLQU.

He's married to Roselia Pano and they have 5 kids, the eldest is already 32 and the youngest is 13. "Wala pang nag-aasawa kaya wala pa kaming apo," he says.

He used to be the PNP spokesman and also hosted some shows so he's at home as anchor of his own show, "Sir Tsip, Reporting for Duty", aired on DZRJ on M-W-F, 5 to 6 PM. It will feature discussions and commentaries on the hottest current events and political issues of the day.

Piolo Pascual Apologizes To Son, Inigo For Telling Reporters About This! Find Out What It Is Here!

Inigo Pascual, son of the Piolo Pascual, was rumored to have been seeing a girl. However, it has never been confirmed by Inigo himself.

He was seen with Kelley Day, a member of the girl group “GirlTrends” from “It’s Showtime.”

Recently, the teen actor was caught off guard by reporters when he was told that his father confirmed his relationship with Kelley, saying that they haven’t even told anyone yet. 

He took the opportunity to explain things during his guesting in Boy Abunda’s “Tonight With Boy Abunda”. 

He also said that his father apologized to him already for claiming tha he was already in a relationship with the Filipina-British beauty.

Tito Boy then asked if it is possible that Piolo was telling the truth while Inigo and Kelly is trying to hide the real score between them.

“I wouldn’t say that. It is us but we don’t have any labels yet” said Inigo.

Inigo further explains that he will be going back to school while Kelly is about to start her career. When asked if they are exclusively dating one another, the recording artist just said “yes.”

Mark Anthony Fernandez Commits Suicide Inside Angeles City Jail

Government prosecutors are looking into reports that actor Mark Anthony Fernandez had attempted to slash his wrist and pointed a pair of scissors at other inmates at the district jail in this city.

Prosecutor Mark Oliver Sison said the report could be relevant to the charges filed against the actor.

A source from the Angeles City regional trial court (RTC) who refused to be identified said Fernandez took the scissors from a barber while he was having a haircut.

It explains why the actor sported a bandage on his wrist, contrary to earlier reports that he was injured during a basketball game, the source said.

Fernandez was transferred to the district jail at Camp Benito in Barangay Sto. Domingo from the Angeles City police Station 6, which according to his lawyer Sylvia Flores was "too crowded."

The source said Fernandez is insisting that he should be transferred to the more spacious provincial jail in San Fernando City.

The actor's case was re-raffled and landed on the sala of RTC Branch 58 Judge Meredith Malig. The arraignment was set on Nov. 8.

Fernandez was arrested for alleged possession of a kilo of marijuana, which police found in his Ford Mustang last month. He is also facing charges for civil disobedience for refusing to pull over at a police checkpoint.

The court earlier dismissed the case for possession of drug paraphernalia against the actor after the police failed to list a marijuana grinder among the items confiscated from his  car.- Soure: Philstar.com

Christian was named as the latest evictee, and the voting will still continue for the other 3, namely, Maymay Entrata, Kisses Delavin and Yong Muhajil.

Christian, who was the most nominated housemate in their edition, got only over 3% of the text votes, no match to the other 3.

Immediately after Christian's eviction, voting for Maymay, Kisses and Yong was re-opened, meaning, another week of stressful voting campaign for their respective fans.
