Jasmine hands off in Anne's latest controversy

Kapatid star Jasmine Curtis feels she is "not in a position to speak" about the alleged confrontation between rumored boyfriend Sam Concepcion and sister Anne Curtis.

"Whastever happened, that's only with the people who were there and between the both of them, who really knows what happened? And I refuse to be involved because I was not there. I don't want to make the issue bigger and it's up to them if whatever comes out. It's not my position to speak," Jasmine told the press after her birthday celebration in TV5's Saturday night music show "SPINNATION" on Saturday, April 5.

Anne Curtis/Contributed photoPhilippine Entertainment Portal reported that Anne allegedly confronted Sam and said "Ba't mo niloloko ang kapatid ko?" during Vice Ganda's party.
Anne clarified in her Instagram post that she just told Sam "to take care" of Jasmine.
Very thankful
"I'm very thankful it’s a very natural thing for a sister to want to protect their little sister. There's no surprise there. I'm thankful that she is willing to to be judged for protecting me and I love her. People can judge her all they want but she's an open book," Jasmine added.

She explained that she was shooting the film “Dementia” when the incident happened.

And while Jasmine admitted she has heard both sides of the issue, she doesn't want to dwell on it, especially now that Anne is still recovering from her jellyfish sting.
On Sam's 'involvement'

"I visited her but of course I don't want to focus on something that might just bring her down or might affect her in a way, especially when she's healing in a physical way. I don't want to pressure her into thinking of things when she's just trying to heal. Pagbigyan natin ang tao na bumalik sa normal condition ang katawan nya."

She hasn’t seen Sam yet since she came back from her shooting in Bulacan because he is rehearsing for Gary Valenciano's concert.

"No, my relationship with anyone has not changed. My sister, my family, with Sam, it's all the same. It all boils down to communication. If you know how to communicate then you're set," Jasmine added.

Neither does Jasmine want to comment on talks linking Sam and his "Mirabella" co-star Julia Barretto, who said she treats the actor like a big brother.

"I don't know where that came from. I don't know how her name popped up, so whatever you guys want to believe, it's up to you guys."

Jasmine also defended Anne from bashers.

"I just wish that they find their real happiness in their life because if you're really happy as a person, you don't need to tell people 'Karma mo iyan kasi ganyan ka, kaya ka nagkasakit.' If it's about the  health issue, I think sumosobra na yung mga tao."

Jopay Paguia, Joshua Zamora to wed in June

Former Sexbomb Jopay Paguia and fellow dancer Joshua Zamora, who used to be with another popular dance group, The Manoeuvres, are having a Christian wedding in June.

“It will be a simple garden wedding to be officiated by a pastor. Vintage ang theme. Color motif is beige,” Jopay told Yahoo Philippines in a phone interview in between her wedding preparations.

The future bride added that another former Sexbomb dancer, Ira, will be part of the wedding entourage.

No wedding jitters

Jopay said she has no wedding jitters because she and Joshua have been sweethearts for nine years.  They got engaged last year.

“Pareho kaming kalog,” she relates.

Joshua’s proposal, like their wedding,  was simple.

Unfogettable dinner

“Nangyari 'to habang nagdi-dinner kami. “

Jopay also relates that thanks to Joshua's influence, she herself has become a Christian.

"Nag-umpisa ako nung nag-aattend ako ng servcies nila."

Both have long gone solo as dancers.

Appeal on behalf of dancers

Jopay, who now appears in the gag show “Banana Split”, hopes to have more projects.

“Maliit lang ang sahod ng dancers. Pero sila ang nagbibigay ng effort sa ikakaganda ng production (number).  Hindi ito gaganda kung wala sila.”

She and Joshua recently joined a dance concert which featured their group, together with the Universal Motions Dancers’  (UMD) Wowie de Guzman and James Salas and others in a dance concert that launched Neurobion and Merck’s  Neuropathy Awareness Movement at the Trinoma Atrium.

The event also served as a reunion for the Sexbomb, Manoeuvres and UMD.
