The Voice Philippines Season 2 Results: Sympathy votes rule again

The Voice Philippines Season 2 semi-finals already next weekends, where The Voice Philippines Top 8 artists (2 each team) will compete
So, who could be those 8 artists? On The Voice Philippines episode tonight, February 14, 2015 (Valentine's Day), the Top 3 from Team Bamboo Mañalac and Team Apl competed for a slot in the Top 8 semi-finals, while for tomorrow, the artists from Team Sarah Geronimo and Team Lea Salonga will take their turn.
Same voting process as last week: public voting done during commercial break only. The voters' choice and the coach's choice advance to the semifinals, while the other one is eliminated.
So, who are moving forward to the next stage of the competition?
TEAM BAMBOO:
Rence Rapanot performed 'Kamusta Na', and was saved by public votes, with 44.88%.
Tanya Diaz performed 'Because Of You', and was eliminated.
Rita Martinez performed 'Paglisan', and was saved by Coach Bamboo.
TEAM APL
Daryl Ong performed 'Rolling in the Deep', and was saved by Coach Apl.
Mackie Cao performed 'Sirena', and was eliminated.
Alisah Bonaobra performed 'Let It Go', and was saved by public votes, with 42.27%.
And the sympathy votes prevailed once again when Rence Rapanot topped the voting for Team Bamboo, and Alisah Bonaobra topped for Team Apl, even if they weren't the best in their respective teams. While Coach Apl made a smart choice of choosing Daryl over Mackie (though I would prefer Mackie over Alisah), Coach Bamboo is causing me headache once again after he chose to save Rita over the versatile performer Tanya Diaz. What's with Rita, that he keeps on saving her? It was so obvious that Tanya was way better than her.
Tomorrow, expect Kokoi Baldo (because of sympathy votes) to top Team Sarah. Deserving to top every voting, Lea Patricio on one hand won't have no problem being the public choice for Team Lea.

JM De Guzman and Meg Imperial Reveal Valentine's Day Plans

JM De Guzman and Meg Imperial team up for the first time in the special Valentine’s Day episode of “Ipaglaban Mo” airing this Saturday (Feb 14).

On the set, Meg admitted that she was still a bit uncomfortable doing scenes with JM even if they already met before.

“This is our first time to do ‘kilig’ scenes together so I am still adjusting, in a way. We even did scenes where I couldn’t look at him straight in the eye but after a couple more takes, things got better,” shared Meg.

When asked if they are willing to become an official love team, both said they are open to the idea. JM shortly quipped, “Why not?”

Despite being romantically linked recently, JM and Meg revealed that they don’t have plans to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

“I might just stay at home or maybe work. I’m not sure of my schedule yet,” said Meg.

“I’m hoping that Valentine’s has a plan for me,” playfully answered JM.

Their on-screen chemistry will be put to test this weekend as they play Trish and Eman, lovers who will face the biggest challenge in their relationship.

Trish is a simple girl with a simple dream of marrying a rich, handsome man someday. To realize her dream she would log in online and chat for long hours with various men on the web, pretending to be someone she is not.

One day, she meets Eman on a social media site and the two eventually fall in love. Eman asks Trish’s hand in marriage and the latter immediately says yes. But when they apply for a certificate of no marriage record, the two learn that Trish is already married to another man.

How will Trish win Eman’s trust back? Will Eman believe that Trish is a victim of identity theft? Will they still have their happily ever after?

(Photo) Cristine Reyes Newborn Baby Girl Amarah

As Showbiznest previously reported, Cristine Reyes gave birth to her first baby with boyfriend Ali Khatibi 2 months before her scheduled delivery date.

On her Instagram, Friday, Cristine introduced her baby girl named Amarah to the world. While she and Ali welcome their first born with pride and joy, they also also asked the support and prayers of their family, friends and supporters as Amarah remains in the hospital for proper care and medications.

To quote:
By @queencristinereyes "Meet Amarah February 8th, Sunday our Amarah finally came to see it. She really was such a wonderful blessing. I Fought for 2 weeks to hold her in. I've been put on total bed rest and wasn't able to sit, move and stand.  Was on Heavy medication on my birthday and spent the day knocked out. I was Monitored every two hours for  awhile.
I was In and out of the delivery room. But then, time has come that Amarah wanted to see the world, in which, none can control.

That feeling of love was instantaneously.❤️ However, she came a little too early than expected and now in need of critical care and assistance. It's hard to see her handled by different people in the NICU. I just hope and pray that she's well taken cared for. I realized that no one can't beat the loving and tender care of a mother. Just got a little apprehensive when I learned that there was a one person visitor policy. It breaks my heart at the time when Ali and I have to leave the hospital without her in our arms. It's sad but we have to be strong. We've been fighting for our little angel and now she has to fight this alone.
If it were in my hands, I'd love for my daughter to reach full term. I did everything to make sure that she was healthy - I read books, seek advice from my in-laws, family, friends and professionals to make sure all was well.
I just don't think it's fair when people judge me and saying that it was my fault.  I plan to disregard NEGATIVITY in my life. My only priority right now is our little fighter. I actually don't really need to explain myself.☺️ Our baby is getting stronger everyday and we will be with her throughout the
fight. She's our wonderful blessing. She will win this battle like a champ just like her father. My family and friends will be praying for our Amarah. Her Dad and I loves her so much! #Family #Ali #Ariane #Amarah #Blessed"
