MANILA - Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado who emerged as the sexiest woman of FHM Philippines headlined the victory party held a few days ago.
Besides from Jennylyn Mercado, Japanese adult film star Maria Ozawa graced the event together with volleyball player Rachel Anne Daquis, Aubrey Miles, Bangs Garcia, Daiana Meneses and PBB winer Myrtle Sarrosa.

MUSIC: Rhap Salazar Criticized For Tweeting The Truth? Celebrties Lea, Gary, Vice & Boy Reacted!
MANILA - Young singer Rhap Salazar who rose to prominence after championing Little Big Star, a singing competition hosted by Sarah Geronimo, was criticized and bombarded with harsh reactions after his controversial tweet last July 4.
The 19-year old singer tweeted: "I hate seeing artists lip-syncing on TV. Yung iba nagkaka-album pa."
The tweets of Rhap Salazar triggered massive reactions from different celebrities in the country besides from Netizens. Singers Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano and celebrities Vice Ganda and Boy Abunda gave their 2 cents on the issue:
VICE GANDA: "Do not hate people, ano man ang ginagawa nila. Why will you hate people na wala naman nilalabag na batas? Hindi naman inapakan ang karapatang-pantao mo. Sa pagtupad ng mga pangarap natin, hindi naman natin sinabi sa mga totoong singer na hindi na, ‘Hindi na kayo puwedeng gumawa, kami na lang.’ Wala naman tayong ipinagkait sa lahat."
BOY ABUNDA: “I disagree though with Rhap because Rhap, even the best artists, even the most brilliant singers, have to lip-sync depending on the circumstances. It’s a technical issue, sometimes. It’s not evil, it’s not bad, it’s not treachery. Hindi pandadaya ang pag-lip-sync. It needs to be done sometimes. My advice as a manager Rhap is this: instead of hating, instead of disliking these non-singers who are making it as singers, you should watch them. Discover what makes them tick. Review your brand essence and equity. What are they doing that you have failed to do? Because with your enormous talent, Rhap, I’m sure you have a place under the sun. That is how you make something negative, positive.”
GARY VALENCIANO: “I think in the recent past kasi, if you see kung ano yung pinagdadaanan talaga ng mga singers, nakakaawa rin. Talagang marunong kumanta, pero hindi masyadong napapansin dahil nabibigyan talaga ng priority, yung visually nakikita. He has the authority to say it…He had to work, he had to go to the contest, and he has an incredible voice.”
LEA SALONGA: "It doesn't mean naman na hindi ako ang kumakanta and given my track record, I think people know that I can sing. Minsan nagkakasakit din, talagang wala kang magagawa. You can’t cancel the gig kahit one song lang. People just need to chill out, sandali lang, relax lang tayo. Kasi, as in all things, case to case din ‘yan. Naiintindihan din ng original Miss Saigon kung mas nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang non-legitimate singers na magkaroon ng music album kesa sa mga tunay na singers. There is a demand for an album pero, I mean, that’s all fine and good, there are fans talaga who buy it. It’s a competitive marketplace. But I do understand na may mga artista na kumakanta na medyo sumasama din ang loob pag yung kanilang talent 'di masyadong itinutulak sa market place. Kung ako isang producer at alam ko kung ano ang mas bebenta, dun ako sa mas bebenta. That’s how the money should come up. Pero sabi rin ng international singer, Sana itulak din the people who can actually sing.”
Behind all of these reactions, one thing is for sure - truth really hurts! Whether Rhap Salazar's tweets are just merely tweets, it's a reality for us to deal with.
