Alden Richards
Impressive ang hosting stint ni Alden Richards sa Asian Television Awards.
Aba, magaling palang mag-host si Alden at malakas ang kanyang dating. May nakapansin ngang bumi-British na halos ang kanyang accent while hosting.

James Ryan Cesena is eliminated from Pinoy Boyband Superstar #BoybandPHLastElim

James Ryan Cesena might have given a better performance among the four who sang for survival on Sunday, but he was the one that got the boot from Pinoy Boyband Superstar just one week before the grand finals.

Screenshot 2016-12-04 20.01.36

James was among the boyband member wannabes that got into the weakest group after the Sudden Death Challenge on Saturday where the Top 8 sang in pairs. Each pair had an assigned judge who would comment on their performance. The same judge was also responsible on sending one contestant to the grand finals and the other to the weakest group.

Aside from James, the other boys that sang for survival were Tristan Ramirez, Tony Labrusca and Ford Valencia.

After the combined results of text and Google votes, Ford got the highest percentage and was the first to be named safe. He was followed by Tony who got the second highest percentage.

The judges voted between Tristan and James. Aga Muhlach chose James, Yeng Constantino thought Tristan was more deserving, Sandara Park picked James, and Vice Ganda voted for Tristan.

It was a tie, and in case of such, the decision will go back on the results of the votes.

Tristan got the third highest percentage of votes, thus, was named safe.

James was eliminated for getting the least percentage of combined text and Google votes.

Here's the official tally of votes:

Screenshot 2016-12-04 20.00.32[8]

Ford Valencia - 42.56%

Tony Labrusca - 33.19%

Tristan Ramirez - 12.71%

James Ryan Cesena - 11.54%

And now the Top 7 grand finalists are complete - Joao Constancia, Niel Murillo, Russell Reyes, Mark Oblea, Ford Valencia, Tony Labrusca and Tristan Ramirez.

Never-ending Masochism of Pinoys: KATHNIEL has a new teleserye LA LUNA SANGRE

Well, I have been on vacation & the news of the upcoming TV shows of ABS-CBN I got to know only now. Nobody among my friends bothered to email them to me, now I know why.

First the good news, Kathniel will have a new teleserye. I got the trailer below. Nice title btw.

The bad news, Abs-Cbn is trying to revive the careers in the Philippines of the washed-up Koreans the sponsors of whom have sabotaged its stars in many parts of the world as documented in this blog. The most recent was in Peru (read at Tales of SABOTAGE in the sidebar). It's obvious there are Western footprints behind the Koreans who want the latter to be the dominant cultural force in these parts as China and East Asia become the window of the world. But it's also obvious that after a decade, the Koreans were a spent force here. Their kpop is not popular, their drama series don't rate. Their only claim was one hit film recently among a bunch of flops (The Thais had a hit here in Shutter & the Japanese had the The Ring & the rest of the genre so that doesn't mean a thing). The only saving grace is the alleged big online hits of Korean shows from the Philippines- but that is not even a proof the Filipinos were watching. We have more than a 100,000 Korean migrants & nearly 800,000 Korean tourists and all these would be watching online for shows from their homeland because that is how nationalistic they are.

So why would Abs-Cbn be promoting Korean shows now? Can the upsurge of GMA shows in the ratings be giving it cold feet (Encantadia & Alyas Robin Hood are lording over the ratings)? It's usual strategy to deny the other its strength like recruiting the big stars of the latter has now been reduced to competing with GMA in its usual fallback to snap alleged big hits in Korea which turned out to be flops here? If the previous alleged big hits in Korea didn't rate here before, why promote other alleged big hits now?  Is it worth feeding the inferiority complex and masochism of Pinoys just to revive spent adversaries just because one is having cold feet due to stronger competition?

Lol!

Patrick Garcia Is 25 & Now Married & A Father Of 3 Kids But Remains Baby Faced Compared To His 'Tabing-Ilog'

PATRICK GARCIA plays the dad of one of the child stars in "Langit Lupa" and he doesn't mind playing father roles now since he has already three kids in real life. His eldest, Alex Jazz, with Jennylyn Mercado, is now 7 years old, and he has two more babies, Cheska and Pichon, with his wife now, Nikka.

Patrick turned 35 last September but he remains baby-faced compared to his colleagues in 'Tabing Ilog', like John Lloyd Cruz and Baron Geisler, who look much more mature than him. How's his relationship now with Jennylyn?

"We're okay, may communication kami and I get to visit our son regularly," he says. "When her mom passed, I went there with my wife to condole. Nakakalungkot kasi Mommy Lydia helped a lot sa pagtingin kay Jazz. I know how much she loves Jazz so it's a big loss."

How is it being a father? "Masarap. Enjoy ako. It's a nice feeling. And being dad helps me para mas magampanan ko nang tama ang role ko in 'Langit Lupa' kasi I already know how to deal with kids even off cam."

"Langit Lupa" is now shown on ABS-CBN Monday to Friday just before "Showtime".

Eric Quizon Directs A New And Innovative Travel Show That Aims To Pay It Forward In Helping People In Need, 'Happy Life'

ERIC QUIZON is happy to direct a new and innovative travel show, "Happy Life", that will air starting next Sunday, 9:30 AM, on GMA News TV, produced by White Lion Media Productions under ex-Gov. Chavit Singson and with his daughter Kim Singson as president.

"Doing a travel show is not new to me since I hosted 'Road Trip' for over two years before," says Eric. "But this one is different as it's a travel show for a cause and with a noble purpose. While we are showing the most beautiful spots in our country, we are also doing a pay-it-forward kind of show as we choose a lucky recipient in each place we go to and he or she will then receive a big surprise.

For our pilot episode, we go to Ormoc in Leyte and we chose a 76-year old female farmer, Gabrina Luna, who's been farming since she was 10 years old and has 12 kids. She was chosen as she's so selfless, caring for her grandchildren who live in a small barong -barong. Si Gov. Singson, pinagamot yung apo niyang may sakit and also gave her a new house and lot kaya tuwang-tuwa siya. We even provided for her new home's electricity and water supply. Sa susunod na episode naman, we chose a barber, si Mang Badong, who's helping a lot of street children at binigyan namin siya ng sarili niyang bagong barber shop. Gusto namin to give people a happy life, masayang buhay."

"With this show, we aim to encourage other more fortunate people to help in sharing their blessings and donate to worthy causes," says Gov. Singson. "The show also encourages folks to do domestic tourism and visit our country, but the bigger aim is to help other people through a rewards system. Ako, I have 100 corporations and I have more than enough na I cannot bring naman with me when I go, so let's all be more generous in helping our less fortunate kababayans throughout the country. In one corporation, we produce solar power and my goal is to later make this available for free to the people. I also want to help people na sobrang nahihirapan sa 5-6 lending through proper financing in our Vigan Bank."

The show is hosted by beauty queens and models who act as guides in taking the viewers all around the Philippines: MJ Lastimosa, Bea Rose Santiago, Jamie Herrell, Mutya Datul, Giulia Zahar, Sophie Rankin and Anthea Murfet. Eric encouraged his brothers and sisters to also be donors and help, so you will see Epi and Vandolph Quizon and their other siblings doing their own sharing in one episode. He also asked good friend Alice Dixson to share her blessings in an orphanage in Bacolod for their Christmas episode. Don't miss "Happy Life" as it premieres on GMA News TV on December 11.
