Writer-Director Alejandro 'Bong' Ramos Says His 3-Act Play, 'Solo Para Adultos', Portray Real Life Situations That Happen In Local Showbiz

WRITER-DIRECTOR Alejandro "Bong" Ramos of "Solo Para Adultos" is better known as a film director for movies like "Haw-Ang" ("Before the Harvest"), "Butas" ("Loophole"), "Halik sa Tubig", and "Araro". But he has also directed for the theatre, like "Jun at Johnny" written by Jun Lana and staged in UP, "Pahimakas ni Donya Teodora", "Huling Pahina" and "Pasyon ni Rizal". How did he conceive of "Solo Para Adultos"?

"I originally thought of it as a screenplay," he says. "E, hindi natuloy, so ginawa naming play ng Red Lantern Productions who has plans of also showing it in key provincial cities. It's about the making of a porn film with five major characters whose stories intertwine. Aside from Vivo, April and John, kasama rin si Georgina, played by newcomer from Singapore Tori Garcia, called the Scandal Queen

because her sex videos are available on the internet, and Andres Vasquez, discovery sa Protege ng GMA-7, as Nicolas, a macho dancer who's willing to do anything to make it in showbiz. Also in the cast are Brylle Mondejar as a gay director and comedian Mosang as the lesbian manager of John. The play is also a commentary about some real happenings in local entertainment. I want to thank Red Lantern for producing this. They did 'Kabesang Tales' before starring John Arcilla and written by Ricky Lee. They aim to stage all-original Filipino productions to satisfy local theater aficionados."

Marian Rivera Denies Rumor That 'Super Ma'am' Will End Soon: 'Not True. We're Happy That The Ratings Continue To Go Up.'

MARIAN RIVERA is excited about her husband Dingdong Dantes' movie with Star Cinema, "Seven Sundays", to be shown soon. The comeback flick of Aga Muhlach, it also stars Ronaldo Valdez, Enrique Gil and Cristine Reyes, directed by Cathy Garcia Molina. Marian wrote in her social media account. "Excited na ako to watch this. Congratulations Mahal." Dong's last movie was also with Star Cinema, 'The Unmarried Wife', which was a blockbuster.

Meantime, Marian denies the scuttlebutt that her new GMA Telebabad primetime show, "Super Ma'am", will end soon. "Hindi totoo yan," she says. "Natutuwa nga kami kasi the ratings continue to go up at halos pumantay na kami sa rival namin. A lot of viewers say they won't be surprised if it would eventually emerge as the numero uno in its slot kasi mas tumitindi ang mga kaganapan sa bawat episode ng 'Super Ma'am'."

She wants to thank GMA management for their great support in giving the show superior production values. "Ginagastusan nila talaga and we're really all doing everything para mas subaybayan ng tao ang show," adds Marian, who plays a teacher who becomes a superhero. "Last week, ipinakita na ko in my superhero costume na may dala akong latigo as a Tamawo slayer. Very positive ang feedback doon sa episode na tinulungan ko't iniligtas ang mga batang kinidnap ng grupo ni Jackielou Blanco as Greta, ang reyna ng mga Tamawo. As the show goes on, makikita nilang mas gaganda pa ang story at mas mahu-hook sila sa panonood dahil darami rin ang action scenes ko. Kaya kahit nahihirapan ako in doing my challenging fight scenes without a double, okay lang sa akin basta masiyahan ang viewers sa panonood ng 'Super Ma'am'. Gusto ko ring pasalamatan yung real teachers who send me messages na naa-appreciate nila ang aming show dahil maraming ini-impart na good messages lalo na sa mga kabataan. Very encouraging po lahat ng comments nyo."

Marian also wants to thank La Salle Araneta University for giving her an award as one of the Most Outstanding Media Communicators in the country. "I'm really thankful kasi La Salle graduate rin ako," she says.

"Kahit marami pang "pulang buwan" ang dumating, I'll always pick you as my beloved "Tagapangalaga" ?? Love you forever mars ? . ?????", Angel Locsin said on her Instagram post referring to Dimples Romana.

Angel and Dimples have been friends since they worked together in ABS-CBN's 2008 series Lobo - the series which was succeeded by Imortal in 2010 and this year's La Luna Sangre .

Angel played the Huling Bantay in first two series while Dimples played the Tagapangalaga. Their friendship is now a decade old.
