CRISTINE, KINORONAHANG 'BOX-OFFICE QUEEN'

www.showbiznest.com
"Punung-puno na ako.

Hanggang makakapagpasensiya, magpapasensiya ako. Pero hindi ko na kaya!

Said the very emotional Ara Mina on Wednesday afternoon, April 18, right after she filed a libel and grave coercion case against her half-sister Cristine Reyes at the Quezon City fiscal’s office.

According to ABS-CBNNews.com, Ara finally decided to file a case after she learned from their relatives that Cristine continously badmouthing her related to the alleged dispute over the remaining balance for a house they bought for their mother.

According to Ara’s lawyer, Cristine wanted Ara to give her the latter's SUV as payment for the remaining P1.8 million balance for a Quezon City townhouse they bought in 2011.

Aside from that, Ara said Cristine keeps on attacking her verbally since Holy Week. To prove her claim, Ara showed the press Cristine's malicious text message which contained “Kung ayaw niyo manggulo ako sa buhay niyo, bayaran utang niyo sa akin. Kung wala kayo pangbayad, ibigay niyo hinhingi ko [referring to Ara's SUV]. ”

Cristine continued by texting "I'm sure ibebenta mo ‘yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati.”

However, Ara clarified that she filed charges not to claim money from Cristine but only to “teach her a lesson” for her attitude.

Ara said.

GMA-7 Wins Three World medals in 2012 New York Festivals

GMA-7 Wins 3 World Medals and 6 Finalist Certificates in 2012 New York Festivals

GMA News and Public Affairs has bagged three Silver World Medals and six Finalist Certificates at the prestigious 2012 New York Festivals Television and Film Awards held on April 17 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

I-Witness’ "Lapnos" (Burn) episode won the Silver World Medal for the Social Issues and Current Events category, while GMA News TV’s Front Row brought home two Silver World Medals – one for the Social Issues category for its "Yaman sa Basura" (Child Urban Miners) episode and another one for the Biography/Profiles category for the documentary program’s "Bente Dos" (Twenty-Two) episode.

I-Witness’ "Lapnos" gives viewers a glimpse inside the burn unit of the Mindanao Burn Center in Davao City . Here, Peabody Award winner Jay Taruc learns about the victims’ individual – at times, harrowing – stories.

"We are honoured to receive this silver medal from the NYF. Lapnos was a heartbreaking yet powerful story that moved all of us who produced it. But what makes this story truly remarkable, apart from the recognition it recently received, is its power to raise awareness on this small, forgotten hospital in Mindanao . Even now, we continue to receive pledges for the hospital and its patients, and for this we are truly grateful. We dedicate this award to the burn victims who shared their story with us and hope that more can be done to alleviate their suffering," says Angeli Atienza, program manager for I-Witness’ Lapnos episode.

"This documentary was passionately executed by the men and women of I-Witness. We dedicate this award to our dear 12 year old Christy, who succumbed to complications from her burn wounds. God bless you and God bless Mindanao," adds Executive Producer Lea Llamoso.

Front Row’s "Yaman Sa Basura" tells the story of twin boys risking life and limb working in an urban mine in order to help their family. "Bente Dos" (Twenty-Two), on the other hand, narrates the life of a couple living in Manila ’s slums, together with their children - all 22 of them.

"GMA News TV is just a year old channel. With Front Row's two medals, we take so much pride and honor to receive more medals than any other Philippine network from the New York Festivals this year. Our local audience has embraced the non-traditional, no-host, no-voiceover documentary format and we are glad that jurors from international award-giving bodies have appreciated it as well," says Johnson Tam, Program Manager for Front Row.

Meanwhile, three GMA entries brought home Finalist Certificates including the I-Witness episode on compressor mining presented by Peabody award-winning journalist Kara David dubbed Gintong Putik; the GMA special that delved deep into the current situation of the country’s education system in Report Card; and Born To Be Wild’s The Born Expeditions Finale: The Monster of Mae Klong and The Great White Shark where, in the presence of a Philippine wildlife team, a world breakthrough in sting ray research was documented on video.

Leading Philippine news channel GMA News TV – only on its first year of airing but is already making its presence felt even in the international arena – also brought home three more Finalist Certificates: GMA News TV’s historical docudrama tracing the evolution of Dr. Jose Rizal’s writings, Pluma: Si Rizal, Ang Dakilang Manunulat (Rizal, The Great Writer); and two Reel Time episodes - Lusong and Tira. Lusong (Live to Dive) tells the story of a father and his son’s race to earn enough money through diving while Tira (Infected) narrates the alarming cases of young teens suffering from sexually transmitted diseases.

The New York Festival International Television and Film Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious award-giving bodies dedicated to both the television and film industries. It encourages next generation story-tellers to break new grounds by honouring the winners within each competition each year.

Luis Manzano Seals Deal with Housemates of ‘PBB Teen Edition Season 4′

Luis Manzano Seals Deal with Housemates of ‘PBB Teen Edition Season 4′

Actor-host and entrepreneur Luis Manzano made a special appearance in “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4” Monday night (April 16) to guide the teen housemates in launching a thriving business for their “Big Deal Task” this week.

Banker of the top-rating game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” sent the host to the famous house where the ‘negosyanteens’ were tasked to start their own business with the Banker’s P10,000 capital.

Big Brother then challenged the teen housemates to conceptualize, produce, and sell a profitable product that will be sold to the public this week. Drawing insight from Luis’ advice, what product will the housemates come up with?

To segregate the housemates into two groups, Luis staged a “Deal” game with the teen housemates in which they got to play as ‘contestants’ like in the popular game show. However, instead of cash amounts, the briefcases contained two colors that represented the groups the housemates would be belonging to.

Meanwhile, fans of the program can have a peek into the minds of the teen housemates as they tweet about their experiences and thoughts using the hashtag #PBBTweets. Subscribe to their tweets straight from the famous PBB house on the program’s official account, @OfficialPBB4.

The teen housemates have also continued to capture the hearts of Filipino netizens as the reality show continues to dominate Twitter’s local and worldwide trending topics since its launch last week, with hashtags #PBBTeens4 and #UBER2012 and the names of the housemates constantly making it to the list every day. Supporters of the budding love teams Myrtle-Ryan and Karen-Kit, and housemates who utter quotable quotes such as Alec, Yves, Claire, and Clodet are also causing a stir on the micro-blogging site.

Watch “PBB Teen Edition 4” with Toni Gonzaga after “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” in Primetime Bida and “PBB Teen Edition 4 Uber 2012” hosted by Bianca, Robi, and John after “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” in Kapamilya Gold, and “PBB Teen Edition 4 Updates” with Robi during “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” and “Princess and I” on ABS-CBN. Ruffa Gutierrez Reacts on Amalia Fuentes' Malicious Tweets About Lorin's Alleged Twin Sister

Ruffa Gutierrez Reacts on Amalia Fuentes' Malicious Tweets About Lorin's Alleged Twin Sister

Is it true that Lorin Gabriella, Ruffa Gutierrez' eldest daughter with former husband Ylmaz Bektas, has a twin sister that her mom Annabelle Rama sold in exchange of big bucks?

Read below part of Erwin Santiago's report published in PEP on Tuesday, April 17, titled "Ruffa Gutierrez claims dad Eddie Gutierrez and two daughters being dragged into mom Annabelle Rama's rift with Amalia Fuentes" to know the truth (at least according to Ruffa):

Sa bandang huli, sabi niya, “A, you know, I don’t know what the issue is all about.

So, I asked my mom and she’s also clueless. You know, nalaman na lang niya that, I guess, Amalia is angry at her.

And she’s really clueless kung anong nangyari.

So, for me, as you can see, my stylist now is Alyanna Martinez, you know, yung apo ni Amalia, so it’s kinda weird also.

Ano nang nangyari? We really don’t know where she’s coming from.

But I think it has also to do with the Nadia thing.”

Ayon kay Ruffa, “I don’t read her tweets and I don’t follow her on Twitter.

I did hear that she was including Lorin and Venice [Ruffa’s daughters] in her statement.

So sana if you wanna just fight with my mom, you can fight with her na lang. My mom is sanay naman makipag-away.

But don’t include naman my children na wala namang kaalam-alam.

So, ayun.

Who is this old, fat, smelly woman who won't stop inventing false stories about me & my family? SHUT UP & get a life! Don't involve me!

Dude ur 80 yrs old. Make the most of your remaining yrs on this earth. You're own family is sick to their stomach with ur nasty attitude!

What's really pathetic is that her only child & grandchildren are well-loved while she's the most hated. Will pray for u nalang old woman.
Depensa ni Ruffa sa sarili: “No, I was just venting that day because nga I heard things, nasty things being said about my children—all these terrible, horrible stories.

You know, they’re very young—they’re seven and eight years old—and I don’t think na dapat idinadamay pa ‘to sa mga ganitong problema.

And then mukhang pera mommy ko, ibinenta daw ni Mommy yung isang bata.
I mean, how can you invent these stories, di ba?” tumutulo na ang luhang sabi ni Ruffa.

I was laughing nga, e. I was laughing and laughing.

But you know… how can a human being like invent such things? Where do they get these? Di ba?

So, siyempre, I got sad and I got emotional.

No, I don’t wanna fight with her… just don’t include me.

Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Winners Agree to Allow Transgenders in Miss Universe Pageant

www.showbiznest.com

Newly crowned Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Janine Mari Tugonon, Bb. Pilipinas-International Nicole Schmitz and Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism Katrina Jayne Dimaranan said they don't see any reason why they would disagree in Donald Trump's decision to allow transgenders to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

"I respect the Miss Universe Organization for that. I respect them, their rules. I’m sure they have their reasons. Kung ‘yun ang gusto nila then it’s okay. I’m fine with it." said Tugonon.

Dimaranan, on the other hand, will simply put her support on whatever it is that the Miss Universe organization or even the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc stand on the issue, "If ever [they] decides to [allow transgenders] or not,I will support their decision."

Schmitz, meanwhile, said she is willing to compete with transgenders in the international beauty pageants.

"In terms of competing against other transgenders in pageants, I think we’re all created equal, but in our own unique ways."

Heart Evangelista Seen Dating Another Guy Days Before Her Break-up with Daniel Matsunaga

www.showbiznest.com
Just few months after their rumored (secret) marriage surfaced, Heart Evangelista and Brapanese model-actor Daniel Matsunaga's almost two years relationship has come to an end.

According to a Yahoo! OMG, Mrs. Cecille Ongpauco, Heart's mother, confirmed the break-up by saying “Yes, she’s single. But I’d rather Heart not talk to media about it. It’s a private matter.”

The confirmation was made moment after Heart tweeted “Being single is embracing growth. Breakups don't always mean the other one was bad or we didn't love each other it could just be… we were too different.

Daniel, who tweeted almost at the same time as Heart did on Saturday afternoon, said, “just asking God ....why? i tried.” Followed by another message implying how he is feeling right now, “cant be happy at this moment guys...God bless u all...thanks for the words....i am sure u all know what is happening....:(

But is it true that Heart, with her Legacy co-star Lovi Poe, were seen having an intimate goodtime in a secluded high-end resort somewhere in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia last Holy Week with two handsome influential guys? Just asking.
