Sarah Geronimo Wins as Favorite Artist at MYX Music Awards 2015

Sarah Geronimo emerged as the big winner at the tenth MYX Music Awards after scoring four awards including Favorite Artist, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Music Video for “Tayo,” and Favorite Remake for “Maybe This Time.”

The pop royalty and “The Voice of the Philippines” coach remains as the artist with the most number of wins in MYX Music Awards history as she raised her total of MYX Music Award trophies to 23.

Prior to snagging the major awards of the night, Sarah also showcased a powerful production number featuring her chart topping song, “Kilometro.”

Meanwhile, the highest commendation of the evening, the MYX Magna Award, was given to singer-songwriter Rey Valera. The MYX Magna Award is a recognition awarded to an OPM icon who has made a great impact to the music industry.

Richard Poon, KZ, Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos, Kyla, Christian Bautista, and Vina Morales united on stage for a special tribute to the legendary hit maker, singing beautiful renditions of Valera’s most notable compositions, including “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako,” “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko,” and “Pangako Sa’Yo,” among others.

Valera who is currently on tour, accepted his MYX Magna Award through a video saying he is deeply “flattered, proud, and humbled.”

MYX Music Awards newcomers James Reid and Nadine Lustre, took home Favorite Media Soundtrack for “No Erase,” while “The Voice Kids” Season 1 finalist Darren Espanto outshined strong contenders Lyca Gairanod, Kathryn Bernardo, Nadine Lustre, and Maja Salvador in the Favorite New Artist category. Darren is the youngest winner of the night.

Despite his no-show status, Daniel Padilla bested out fellow teen sensation James Reid, rap artists Gloc-9 and Abra, and RnB prince Jay-R in the Favorite Male Artist category. Daniel also bagged Favorite Song for “Simpleng Tulad Mo.”

Gloc-9 also added two brand new MYX trophies in his collection after bagging Favorite Urban Video for “Businessman” and Favorite Collaboration with Regine Velasquez for “Takipsilim.”

2NE1’s CL nominated for TIME’s 100 most influential people

Recently, 2NE1’s leader CL has been nominated for Time’s annual list of 100 Most Influential People in the World.

CL is the only South Korean representative to be considered for the list. She is a famous singer, rapper who is preparing for an upcoming solo debut in the U.S.

The weekly magazine started a poll on March 21, urging readers to vote and support their favorite people from all around the world.

CL’s entry wrote, “One fourth of the wildly popular South Korean girl group 2NE1, Lee Chaelin (a.k.a. CL) is teaming up with manager Scooter Braun (the mastermind behind Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen) for her upcoming American debut.”

The public vote is open via Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #TIME100. Voting will close at 11:59 p.m. on April 10 and the results will be announced on April 13

Yeah, many might question me, why do you name this as a letter instead of post, it’s not that i’m tired of writing posts, it’s simply because a letter sounds more sincere, a letter to apologize to all DKPOPNEWS’ readers.

Downs in life
I have been dealing with downs in life for the past 12 months, to be exact 11, making poor decisions, lacking ability to think with logical mind, not working hard enough updating posts, then i started to neglect the important aspects in my life, i paid little or no attention to DKPOPNEWS which i feel so sorry to loyal readers who have been supporting us since 2009.

New beginning
However, after listening to emotional Chinese ballad songs for months, my so called self-treating depression method which is proven to be ineffective, instead making things worse, my old friend KPop embraces me with open heart. I started to listen to some upbeat tracks, have been a fan of female groups all this while, Lovelyz, CLC, Minah, Red Velvet, BerryGood, 4Minute and more, i managed to recover from the painful experience. Sending the downs away, it’s time to welcome the ups!

Mahigit 9 years na sa pagiging loyal kapuso ang aktres na si Rhian Ramos at ngayong 2015 mag-eexpire na ang kanyang kontrata sa GMA Network.

Una syang ipinakilala sa telefantasya Captain Barbell taong 2006 at katambal nya dito si Richard Gutierrez  na kinagat ng pinoy viewers.

Mula sa pagiging leading lady nya kay Richard  nagtuloy-tuloy ang swerte nya dahil marami syang pinagbidahan na mga drama series katulad ng Lupin, Codename:Asero, Lalola, Zorro, Ilumina at marami pang iba.

Pero tila hindi sapat ang mga ito dahil marami ang nasasayangan sa talento ng nasabing aktres dahil hindi sya gaano binibigyan ng napakalaking proyekto.

May tampo nga ba si Rhian Ramos sa GMA Network dahil kapansin-pansin na supporting role ang ibinibigay sa kanya katulad ng Indio, Genesis at ang latest ang My Destiny.

Sa kanyang interview sa Pinoy Parazzi makahulugan ang kanyang sagot sa nalalapit na pagtatapos ng kanyang kontrata sa GMA7.

“[I'm going to wait for my contract under GMA to expire, from then on, that's the time I'm going to think about my next step, right now I am still enjoying life and keeping myself busy with different things]”

Mukhang may posibilidad na lumipat ang aktres na si Rhian Ramos sa ABS-CBN  sakaling may offer ito, ano naman kaya ang hakbang na gagawin nang GMA para manatili ang aktres sa kanilang network.

Siguro naman magiging aware ang GMA dito dahil ayaw nila ang kasabihan na "Ako ang nagtanim iba ang kakain".

MYX Music Awards 2015 Complete List of Winners.

The annual MYX Music Awards was held on Tuesday, March 25, 2015 at SM Aura Premier's Samsung Hall. The award-giving body recognizes artists in the local music scene for their contributions in the music industry.

The event was hosted by MYX VJs Robi Domingo, Chino Lui Pio, Diego Loyzaga, and Nikki Gil with performances from Young JV, Sam Concepcion, and Sarah Geronimo.

Speaking of Sarah Geronimo, the Pop Star Royalty bagged most of the awards including Favorite Music Video for "Tayo", Favorite Artist, Favorite Female Artist, and Favorite Remake for "Maybe This Time".

Teen Heartthrob Daniel Padilla grabbed the Favorite Male Artist award and Favorite Song for "Simpleng Tulad Mo", while his onscreen partner, Kathryn Bernardo was awarded Favorite Guest Appearance in a Music Video.
