Veteran actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos also speaks about the romantic reconciliation of her son Luis Manzano and "The Legal Wife" actress Angel Locsin. “Ba’t ba ang chismosa ko? ‘Di ba dapat sila?” was Santos’ reaction when asked by Anthony Taberna on Kapamilya afternoon News and Current Affairs show "Tapatan Ni Tunying" about her son’s relationship status with Angel. She elaborated later on that Luis did tell her that he was seeing his ex-girlfriend again. The actress-turned-politician said she asked her son if he and Angel are back together and his answer was, “We are trying to fix things.”
On rumors about the couple’s upcoming wedding, Gov. Vi has only this to say, “Pag ready na sila. Ang alam ko lang masaya sila ngayon,” adding that she has no problems if Luis marries Angel. “Wala naman problema, ‘di naman ako ang makikisama. Plus the fact na ‘di na bago si Angel, at least I know they are back and maligaya sila sa isa’t isa, mas maligaya kami [family] for them.”
Gov. Vi also shares she sees a lot of positive traits in her ‘future daughter in law.’ “Isa siguro sa naappreciate ko kay Angel, nakikita naman ng mga tao eh is matulungin. If there’s anything na pwede siya mag-share ng kanyang maiaabot na tulong kapag merong kalamidad, she’s always there. And that’s a good sign. Kung papano niya alagaan, bigyan ng respeto yung tatay niya na may diprensya, importante yun.”
On the scale of 1 to 10, Gov. Vilma says she rates Angel a ‘9’. “9. Pag mag-asawa na [sila] 10.”
