Broadcast journalist Atom Araullo returns to “Red Alert” this Wednesday (July 8) to show viewers what to do in case an earthquake, possibly the “Big One,” happens.
Atom takes viewers back to the year 1990 when the last big earthquake that hit Metro Manila happened. It left 2000 people dead and created damages that amounted close to P15 billion.
One survivor, Peter Dy, recounts his memories of that fateful day. The quake reached Bohol, where it eventually destroyed the Hyatt Hotel branch in the area. That was where Dy was buried for two weeks and somehow, managed to survive.
What can you do in case you are confronted with the same ordeal as Peter? Atom, together with experts, lays down steps to undertake in such situation and also shares tips on how to be prepared for the possibility of an earthquake.

LIFESTYLE: Jollibee Releases Statement In Response To A 'Douchebag Customer' Delivery Incident
MANILA - A certain douchebag customer named 'Jay Bee' went viral for the past days now when he was exposed to have fooled a Jollibee delivery guy.
According to an exposed conversation of 'Jay Bee' on Facebook, he was able to get a PHP 200 off from the food that was delivered by the Jollibee staff. He claimed that the delivery guy was a minute late and thus he demanded for the penalty which the poor man obliged. To make things worst, the douchebag customer admitted that he fooled and that he staged the "one minute" alibi. And now, he has gone viral and earned the strongest flak from Netizens.
Jollibee released a statement through its PR Director, Arline B. Adeva of Jollibee Philippines:
"It has never been Jollibee's policy to charge the gift certificates issued to customers as goodwill for late delivery against our riders' salaries.
We also want to remind our customers that Jollibee's delivery guarantee time ends upon arrival of rider at the lobby of the building, hospital or condominium or gate/guardhouse of subdivision or offices.
Even as we are committed to provide fast and efficient service to our customers through our Jollibee delivery guarantee, the safety and welfare of our riders are of paramount importance to us.
We trust that the public will treat our riders with the same courtesy, honesty and respect that they deserve."

USA - Reigning Miss Universe 2014 winner Paulina Vega lashes back against business mogul Donald Trump as the latter called the beauty queen "hypocrite".
In a twitter post, Donald Trump called Paulina Vega a hypocrite, citing: "Miss Universe, Paulina Vega, criticized me for telling the truth about illegal immigration, but then said she would keep the crown - Hypocrite".

Paulina Vega: "The most comical is using the word: hypocrisy. But I think what I’m doing is the least hypocrite thing I can do by using my voice clearly. By not renouncing my crown has nothing to do with what I do or what I don’t do. I have a legally binding contract and legal relationship with the organization and it’s not so easy for me, like the artists have done, to renounce and say, “No. I’m not working for you anymore.” I have a contract of 1 year. So it’s a much more complicated situation, but we have to understand that Trump is a very polemic person. I’m going to keep going forward and refuse his comments to affect me. Miss Universe the organization and I are much more than what that man says on Twitter."

Question: "Going forward, how are you going to deal with Trump when you have to make appearances or be in meetings with him?"
Paulina Vega: "I don’t know yet. But here’s a curious fact, I’ve seen him like 2 or 3 times during my seven months as Miss Universe. And now with his presidential campaign, I’m sure he’ll be even busier so I won’t be seeing him. But I don’t know."
Question: "In your times being in his presence, did he ever say anything racist or borderline offensive?"
Paulina Vega: "Not at all. Plus, the moments we shared were extremely short and with tons of other people at events. We barely had time to have a conversation. If he would have said something off color, I would have fainted."
Question: "Knowing what you know now, would you have participated in the Miss Universe pageant?"
Paulina Vega: "It would’ve been a really difficult decision for me. It would’ve been a joint decision between myself and my country Colombia’s pageant organization to settle upon the best solution on whether to participate or not."
As of writing, there are no reactions from Donald Trump.

Nine months after they welcomed their first girl born Wyatt Isabelle, celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis tied the knot on the 4th of July, report says.
The wedding reportedly took place at The Secret Garden at Parrish Ranch in Oak Glen, California, a secluded spot surrounded by apple orchards, ponds and mountain views.
Kutcher, 37, and Kunis, 31, met while playing love interests on Fox's “That ‘70s Show,” which ran from 1998 to 2006. The two started dating in 2012 and got engaged two years later.
They have a baby girl named Wyatt Isabelle, who was born last October.
The marriage is Kunis’ first and Kutcher’s second, who ended his 10-year old marriage with actress Demi Moore in 2013.

Another fast food chain incident involving its store employee and a heartless customer caught the attention of netizen.
Facebook user and a self-claimed minion toy collector Trigger-Archie Dela Torre, posted his experience in an undisclosed McDonald's branch on July 3, 2015.
According to Archie, despite the store's policy to sell only 3 minion toys per customer to accommodate their other customers who want to purchase the toy, he still demanded to purchase more than the allowed. Despite the store manager's apologetic intention to explain the policy, Archie threatened to slap him in the face should his request would not be granted.

The true story behind the controversial doctor named "Jay Bee," a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University who intentionally tricked a Jollibee delivery boy into waiting at the lobby of his condominium unit so he could delay the delivery of his order for a P200 discount, surfaced.
Jollibee, through its PR director Arline Adeva, released a statement of Monday, saying it has never been Jollibee’s policy to charge the gift certificates issued to customers as goodwill for late delivery against our riders’ salaries. Despite that, she also requested the public to "treat their riders with the same courtesy, honesty and respect that they deserve."
Now, the list of complaints from alleged victims of Doc Jay Bee continue to pile up including a former friend in Baguio who filed a estafa case against him and a foreigner ex-boyfriend whom he used as a milk money for 6 months.
In an article posted at Pinoy Trending blog, Jay Bee who uses several games like Geoff Rodriguez, Brice John Wayne H. Villanueva is not actually a doctor and a graduate from ADMU but a former Philippine Airlines employee and not a baggage boy at Cebu Pacific as revealed by a certain Occhir.
According to Occhir (real name Frederick Lazam Belleza), Jay Bee used to be his friend until he defrauded him of money worth P24,000 after promising to find him a job in Hong Kong which never happened. Jay Bee even took his passport and disappeared. He is now being hunted by Baguio police for estafa case.
Another horrifying story about Jay Bee's wrong deed involving a foreigner boyfriend was revealed. The news states that some years back, he allegedly stayed in a local hostel to meet foreigner backpackers who can be his boyfriend. He successfully ended up with a foreigner boyfriend who supported him for almost half a year. The boyfriend gave him money for his needs until that fateful day, when the foreigner boyfriend caught him cheating in bed.
Should we expect more hunting dirt stories from these bastard in the days to come? Gusto mong sumikat, yan!
