Alice Dixson Not Sure If She'd Be Insulted Or Amused By Cougar Tag (2 Photos)

ALICE DIXSON says she’s amused that at her age, 40 plus, some people still continue to look at her as a sex symbol, particularly after her being an FHM cover girl. Some folks even consider her a cougar since she attracts men who are much younger than her.

“I think it’s because I got paired with younger actors like Derek Ramsay and Mark Neumann,” she says. “I really don’t know how to react when they say I’m a cougar. Will I be flattered or feel insulted? But hey, we’re in showbiz and I’m currently single kaya siguro all the more mas bumabagay ang cougar tag sa akin. So tinatawanan ko na lang, lalo na when they say na may asim pa raw ako.”

Now, she’s paired with someone closer to her age, Ogie Alcasid, in “Confessions of a Torpe”, that will replace “Madam Chairman” on TV5’s 8 PM slot starting this Monday. “It’s more of a comedy. We offer an alternative kasi puro soapy dramas ang kasabay namin on that slot. So for viewers who prefer lighter entertainment, they will definitely find ‘Confessions of a Torpe’ worth watching, as directed by Soxy Topacio. Kasama rin namin dito sina Wendell Ramos, Gelli de Belen, Bayani Agbayani, Bibeth Orteza and many more.”

Dawn Jimenez Takes Everything Off on the Cover of UNO Magazine 92 Issue

Dawn Jimenez Takes Everything Off on the Cover of UNO Magazine 92 Issue

Here at UNO, we know men. We really do. And we know that if you have someone as hot and delectable as Dawn Jimenez waiting for you at home or in the office, you'd be hard-pressed to leave either place, right?

Or, because you know where to find her, you'd try to catch her again in her break-out role during THE climactic scene in On The Job, a movie about prisoners exiting prison to become hired hit men for corrupt government officials. Dawn surprised everyone as she took everything off for her wild love scene with Gerald Anderson, whose character didn't get any action for several months. Everything. She didn't even leave the cover on.

Her willingness to be daring however paid off, as Dawn scored her first cover for UNO and an upcoming role in the ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye Moon of Desire.

For UNO's 92 issue, she gets down, dirty and simply delicious for her cover shoot. Donning the teensiest red and black lace lingerie, Dawn nibbles ever so ge ntly or sometimes fiercely on a luscious piece of chocolate in the photos.

She reveals her thoughts on nabbing the role in OTJ and her excitement at being in a new afternoon teleserye with JC De Vera, Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna.

She wasn't afraid to get all wet and lathered in chocolate for this UNO cover either. Dawn, with a sweet smile that could melt the hardest heart or chocolate, is actually a lover of zombie movies, even the low-budget ones, a fact that will surely get many a guy's attention.

Well, if the first few pages of Dawn's body in chocolate, with chocolate, on chocolate still didn't get your heart pumping (you must be cold-blooded then), perhaps the last spread will get a rise out of you.

Dawn. Chocolate spread ever so messily all over her body. And finger-licking. That should be enough right?

Well, this 92nd UNO issue also has some other articles that will get you excited and blood flowing to other part s of your body.

Like the Places to Dayo For, a food feature that takes you to different kinds of hole-in-the-wall restos from North, South to Central Metro Manila. If you are still hungry after this feature, you can go back for some more Dawn.

Or you can impress your girl with your vast knowledge of wines, especially if all you've been drinking all your life is beer. Your wine expertise is sure to get your girl excited and more...fluid.

And we didn't forget to include a feature in this issue for that other part of you that also does some thinking...your brain. Atom Araullo, the big shot broadcast journalist gets intimate and shares about his rise to fame and how this alpha male manages it all: work, fame, and love.

So go ahead, feel free to grab UNO's 92 issue. Everyone deserves a bite of chocolate-y happiness.

UNO magazine is available in all leading bookstores and magazine stands nationwide.

Dennis Trillo & Tom Rodriguez Back Into Each Other's Arms In 'Magpakailanman' This Saturday Night (3 Photos)

LOCAL TV’S MOST famous gay lovers are back: Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez who really hit it big with last year’s “My Husband’s Lovers”. This Saturday, they are the special guest in the exciting episode of Mel Tiangco’s hit drama anthology, “Magpakailanman”. Titled “Mandirigma”, they won’t play lovers this time but good friends, both athletes, who eventually have to compete with each other. This is based on the true story of real life mixed martial arts athletes, Edouard Folayong and Mark Sangiao.

“Mandirigma” answers such questions as: What are you willing to sacrifice for your personal dreams? Are you willing to risk the future of your own family by venturing into something that has no certainty?

Edouard and Mark fought for mixed martial arts at the time when it’s not recognized as an official sports event. They didn’t stop until it got the recognition it deserves from their countrymen.

The roles of Edouard and Mark surely fit Dennis and Tom as they’re both very athletic. Aside from them, the special guests in this episode are Sheena Halili, Andrew Schimmer, Snooky Serna and Bembol Roco. Don’t miss it when it’s aired tomorrow night, Saturday, in “Magpakailanman” right after “Vampire ang Daddy Ko” on GMA-7.

Empress Schuck on Network Transfer, Falling Out with Kim Chiu

Empress Schuck on Network Transfer, Falling Out with Kim Chiu

Three years after she topbilled the afternoon drama-fantaserye "Rosalka" on ABS-CBN, nothing major was heard of Empress Schuck as far as her career is concern. She might had cameo appearances on Maalaala Mo Kaya and the defunct primetime series "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" but no title role was given to her eversince.
"Wala talaga for now. Hindi ko alam kung bakit wala pa, kung bakit medyo matagal. Pero siguro they [Star Magic] have their reasons kung bakit wala. Pero darating talaga ang time na maiinip ka, mag-iisip ka, 'Ba't wala pa?
Is network transfer possible at this time?
"Ewan ko, marami pa rin namang opportunities sa ibang lugar. May times kasi na kailangan ko ring mag-move on. Sabi ko nga, marami pang opportunities na puwede kong pasukan. So, tingnan natin kung sino pa ang gustong kumuha sa akin or whatever." she said.
"Pero kung gusto pa nila akong mag-stay, mapag-uusapan din naman." Empress further clarified.
Empress also reacted on Kim Chiu's recent statement that she only considered her perennial partner Xian Lim as her only friend in showbiz. (Empress and Kim, together with Kapamilya actresses Melissa Ricks, Erich Gonzales, Beauty Gonzalez, and Kitkat Banas used to form a showbiz alliance called “ChuRiGoGoBaSchu” but had a falling out when Kim decided to be friends with Maja Salvador whom she also had a serious misunderstanding because of Gerald Anderson.
"Deadma na lang. Kung yun talaga yung pakiramdam niya eh, yun yung gusto nya, sa tingin niya okay na. Wala kaming kinalaman. Okay kami ni Kim, nagsasama kami sa ASAP. Okay kami, never kami nagkaaway. Sa iba, honestly I dont want to say, halata naman na pero I can’t talk about that kasi desisyon niya yun eh. Okay ako with others but it’s just sad na hindi na katulad ng dati. Siguro masasabi ko lang na na-outgrow namin ang sarili namin. Parang isang relationship, magkasama kayo sa umpisa pero habang tumatagal nagiging ibang tao kayo. Hindi naman in a bad way, may good way rin naman. Meron din nag-se-separate kayo in a good way kasi may iba pala kayong gustong gawin, parang nag-iba yung mga taong gusto niyong samahan, may iba yung ugali.

Cressida Bonas and Prince Harry Wedding Proposal, Plans, Details

Cressida Bonas and Prince Harry Wedding Proposal, Plans, Details

OK! Magazine reports that Prince Harry and girlfriend Cressida Bonas might tie the knot soon following a secret proposal that happened recently.
The couple reportedly plan to announce their engagement soon, but Prince Harry is waiting until he has completed certain royal protocols first.

“He needs to go through certain royal protocols, such as asking his grandmother’s permission,” the insider revealed. “Palace sources say there’s not been a formal request made to her majesty yet, but the fact we’re hearing about it means it’s likely he’s already popped the question and they’re waiting until all the boxes are ticked before formally announcing it.”

According to the report, the Queen would be pleased with their engagement. Apparently, Cressida reminds her of her late sister Princess Margaret.

“It’s no secret the queen would dearly love to see her roguish grandson settle down, and she thinks Cressy is his ideal match,” the source explained. “She likes that [Cressy] comes from a good family, plus she has a t winkle in her eye that reminds [the queen] of her sister, the late Princess Margaret.”

Will the couple have a large wedding? Well, the insider believes they won’t plan a wedding as big as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, but because Prince Harry is so popular, he might actually attract more public interest.

“There’s no way it will be as huge,” the insider explained. “The heir to the throne was always going to be a huge spectacle with pomp and circumstance. Harry is unbelievably popular with the British public because of his naughty behavior, there’s not a Brit alive who won’t want to witness this event.”

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have been dating for over a year now.

Joey de Leon Returns to Primetime TV Sitcom via TV5’ “One of The Boys”

Joey de Leon Returns to Primetime TV Sitcom via TV5’ “One of The Boys”

After 7 long years, veteran actor and comedian Joey de Leon finally makes his much-awaited comeback to the sitcom genre as he top-bills TV5’s upcoming primetime offering, One of the Boys, which will air in March.

Joey has hosted a number of TV5 programs, including the reality show Hayop sa Galing, the game show Game ‘N Go, and the longest running gag show in the country, Wow Mali Pa Rin, which is also directed by One of the Boys director Robert Quebral.

TV5’s Business Unit Head of One of the Boys, JoAnn Bañaga, shares, “This is the first time I have worked with Joey de Leon, and I, together with whole cast and crew, am just amazed at his passion for humor. Joey’s fans will definitely be happy to see him finally back in a sitcom after a long respite.”

In One of the Boys, Joey plays Daddy Jerry or ‘DJ’, the father figure of the whole cast. As DJ, he will be reintroducing family values unique to the Filipino culture, which adds a whole new element to the sitcom that is not found in other television programs nowadays.

Aside from Joey, the show parades a unique mix of cast members that will surely add to the funny antics viewers can expect in the show, with TV5 drama princess Eula Caballero, the five Brinoy hunks who compose the popular group Juan Direction—Daniel Marsh, Henry Edwards, Charlie Sutcliffe, Brian Wilson and Michael McDonnell—and Joey’s sidekick on the show, Empoy.

Also joining TV5’s new weekly program are Kapatid stars Nadine Samonte, Artista Academy’s Benjo Leonico and other surprise weekly guest comedians.

TV5’s JoAnn Bañaga also discloses, “We definitely have a lot of new faces in the show, and for some of them, this is actually their first foray into the comedy genre, like Juan Direction and Nadine Samonte, but you will see that the whole cast really clicks, and this is mainly because of Joey de Leon. For these younger actors, every taping is like a priceless crash course to acting and comedy with Joey, and they really do enjoy and cherish it. Ultimately, Joey is the anchor of One of the Boys, and you can really tell that in more ways than one, he is the father of this whole cast.”

Elizabeth Oropesa's Deep Dark Secret as Marvin Agustin's Mom in 'Obsession'

ELIZABETH OROPESA is now a healer offering alternative medicine in her clinic in Fairview, but each time that there’s a good role in a TV show or a movie for her, she’s willing to accept it. Right now, she’s seen every Thursday night at 8pm on TV5’s “Obsession” and she’s also shooting a movie for Direk Joel Lamangan, “Sitio Camcam”.

“Maganda ang roles ko in both projects,” she says. “Sa ‘Obsession’, I play Regina, mother ni Marvin Agustin na may itinatagong lihim. In ‘Sitio Camcam’, mother naman ako ni Allen Dizon na kinukusinti lahat ng ginagawa ng anak niya, kahit illegal. May tatlo siyang asawa rito, pero friends ko silang lahat at ako pa nagre-remind sa kanila na huwag silang mag-away-away.”
With regard to her personal life, she’s happy that her kids are now all college graduates with careers of their own. “I already have an apo doon sa anak kong si Genevieve kay Marc Roces,” she adds. “Pero siyempre, hindi ko basta matatalikuran ang showbiz kasi part na ito ng buhay ko. Hinahanap ko pa rin ang pag-arte sa harap ng camera.”

What’s the secret of the character she plays in “Obsession”? “As his mom, devoted sa’kin si Marvin dito kasi nakita ko ang paghihirap niya sa kamay ng sarili niyang ama. He’s a battered child dito.

Alden Richards' Priority Is His Career, Not Having A Lovelife

ALDEN RICHARDS can’t believe the very warm reception given to him and Marian Rivera when they promoted “Carmela” at the Panagbenga Flower Festival in Baguio.

He’s also happy to get the chance to work in a short film with the Nora Aunor. “Si Direk Adolf Alix po ang nagdirek nito and it’s really an honor na makatrabaho ang superstar. Sana next time, full length movie na ang pagsamahan namin.”

How come he has not been linked to any girl since he joined showbiz two years ago? “Having a lovelife is a choice and for me, it’s not a priority as of now. Sayang naman ang magagandang career chances that are coming my way kung pababayaan ko lang. Anyway, ang love naman, laging nandiyan lang. It’ll come at the right time. As of now, for me, hindi pa right time. Mag-girlfriend man ako, I won’t have the time to spend with her dahil sa sobrang pagka-busy ko sa career ko ngayon.”

Pinoy Music Icons Say "Thank You to the World" for Yolanda Aid (Video)

Pinoy Music Icons Say "Thank You to the World" for Yolanda Aid (Video)

Filipino music artists led by some of the most renowned names in the international music scene collaborate to say thank you to the whole world for the help they extended to the Philippines after the onslaught of typhoon Yolanda via the music video “Listen with Your Heart”

Days after the super typhoon struck last November, aid from all over the world arrived for the victims of Yolanda and in-kind or cash donations and pledges from more than 50 countries poured in.
“As the distraught victims sought refuge, the world reached out and offered help in the form of relief goods, rescue, and medical assistance to help the Filipinos survive and move on from this disaster. Through their help and also the help of our countrymen, we are slowly picking up the pieces from what seemed to be an insurmountable adversity. It is time to show the world our heartfelt gratitude,” explained ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management head Robert Labayen.

Chosen to send this message of gratitude are world-class Filipino artists Lea Salonga, Lani Misalucha, Arnel Pineda and Billy Crawford who sang the theme song “Listen with Your Heart” together with other popular local music artists such as Jaimie Rivera, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Juris Fernandez, Bugoy Drilon, Liezl Garcia, Jovit Baldivino, KZ Tandingan, Marion Aunor and Wynn Andrada.

The song, written by Christine Daria-Estabillo with music by Marcus Davis Jr., was intentionally written in English so that the message will cross boundaries and will surely be heard in all parts of the world.

With meaningful and heartfelt lines like “Even the strongest heart can break. When we’ve had too much to take” and “Beyond our faith. Beyond our race. Hand in hand we’ll rise above,” “Listen with Your Heart” is a powerful tribute to humanity and a strong affirmation on how different nations can set aside differences and come together in times of need.

The song was produced by the Creative Communications Management Division of ABS-CBN. The music video was directed by Paolo Ramos together with members of the creative and production team Johnny delos Santos, Roxy Liquigan, Jonathan Manalo, Danie Sedilla-Cruz, Mark Raywin Tome, Edsel Misenas, Jaime Porca, Jojo Medrano, Danica Rueda, Emil Rae Hembra, Alfie Landayan and Andrew Go.

YouTube Group Phenomenon Radio Silence Directs “Devil's Due”

YouTube Group Phenomenon Radio Silence Directs “Devil's Due”

There’s the traditional route to a directorial debut; camcorder obsession, film school, an internship, personal assistant, directorial assistant, the keys to the store. And then there’s Radio Silence, a collective of four talented filmmakers who used YouTube to learn their craft, post their clips and advertise their wares with so much professional aplomb that Fox made all their dreams come true.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez and Chad Villella grew from the ashes of the former group known as Chad, Matt & Rob, three friends who had an idea, a camera, some technical expertise – much of it gleaned from YouTube tutorials –and got to work. Their breakout was Alien Roommate Prank Goes Bad, a found-footage style short they posted in February 2008; as of today, it’s been viewed more than 32 million times.

When Rob Polonsky left the group, they were joined by Justin and Tyler, reformed as Radio Silence and continued their YouTube domination, moving into a series of ‘interactive adventures’, narrative shorts in which the viewer guided the plot. Ultimately, however, they had ambitions beyond on-line media.

“TV and film were always the end game for us,” says Chad. “When we were in the digital space we were always working with concepts that felt bigger than even we maybe knew how to wrangle at the time. We were always wanting to make cool, big, cinematic things.”

Thankfully, writer Brad Miska was putting together a movie of found footage-style segments, and asked the soon-to-be-famous four to contribute. They were given a 17-minute slot, a $10,000 budget, and got to work: the movie, called part of a series called V/H/S, was a Sundance hit, and executives at Fox took notice.

“Lindsay Devlin had written a script and we got a phone call from John Davies at Fox when he was on vacation,” remembers Tyler. “We were standing in the parking lot of Poquito Mas on Sunset, literally spending our last dollars on lunch. He called, said he loved it on V/H/S, how he was really excited about it, and said ‘I think we should make this movie’. Literally the next day we were working on it.”

The resulting collaboration is Devil’s Due, starring TV’s “Friday Night Lights” Zach Gifford and Allison Miller, best known for her work on NBC series Kings and Go On, and the Spielberg-produced Terra Nova for Fox. The movie is a fresh, contemporary take on the Rosemary’s Baby-style horror story: as newlyweds, their lives are turned upside down when an unexpected pregnancy may be the devil’s work, with each twist and turn captured on ‘home’ video.

“The point of view element is obviously it's a much-used technique nowadays and  Blair Witch Project was the first movie where the whole conceit of it was that it was real. It was really the first of its kind and felt so incredibly authentic,” says Tyler.

For “Devil’s Due,” tons of scenes and dialogue are improv’d according to the group.  “All of the scenes and how they were serving the larger story were pretty specifically dialed in, but how we approached them, how the camera existed in the scene... there were many scenes where Zach was shooting with Allison and we were just there to make sure everything was framed right. It was an incredibly grass roots approach to each scene, and the improv was a part of that.  Thankfully, Zach had been around cameras enough and is a photographer himself. I talked him through the camera for 15 minutes and there was a learning curve, and by the time we had shot a day and a half we knew exactly what we were doing, separating the scenes he was actually shooting from the ones we were shooting as him. It was a fun way to get him involved,” Matt shares.

Tyler concludes, “On YouTube the credit doesn't matter - they'll watch your stuff or not. That's just how it works. It was never about credit-hogging, it was always about making cool shit.  For the most part everyone's been incredibly open to the idea of this group of four guys who want to make cool shit.”

“Devil’s Due” will be out in cinemas on March 19 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Fans Are Pairing Off Jennylyn Mercado With Luis Alandy Since They'Re Both Loveless Now (7 Photos)

SOME FANS OF Jennylyn Mercado are pairing her with Luis Alandy now that her ex-BF Luis Manzano is back into the arms of Angel Locsin and Luis himself has just broken up with his Canada-based GF Bebs Hollman. What can Luis Alandy say about the urging of netizens for him to court Jen?

“Hindi naman ganun kadali yan,” he says. “We might just be accused of love on the rebound. At sa ngayon, busy rin ako taping for ‘Innamorata’ and we’re all happy nina Max Collins and Gwen Zamora na mataas agad ang rating namin at very positive ang feedback from the viewers.”

Luis celebrated his birthday recently. He decided to spend it with the nursery students of the Cradle of Joy Foundation. He shared his blessings by donating to them 100 coloring books and storybooks plus crayons so the nursery kids can color them. “I value the importance of education kaya gusto kong tulungan ang mga batang ito to be more interested and inspired in reading storybooks and in coloring them. Having a good education is surely a positive step for them to have a better future.”

How is it playing the role of a blind man in “Innamorata”? “Akala ko noong una, madali lang magbulag-bulagan, but it’s hard pala. Once, dahil hindi ko makita ang dinaraanan ko, may nabunggo ako at minsan naman, nadapa ako. But I’m enjoying the challenge of playing someone who’s blind. Next time, naman I want to try being a deaf mute, for another challenge.”

Alex Medina Nominated As Best Actor But He's Realistic Enough To Say Someone Else Would Win

ALEX MEDINA is nominated as best actor in some award giving bodies for his effective portrayal of an internet scammer in “Babagwa”, but he’s not expecting to win. “Para namang malayo akong manalo e nandiyan si Joel Torre who gives to very good performances last year in ‘On the Job’ and ‘Kabisera’,” says. “Happy na lang akong nominated din ako at ang ‘Babagwa’, kunsaan-saang festivals abroad na napasali at napuri.”

He now does a mainstream movie, the horror film “Third Eye” for Regal Entertainment, and he’s glad to be working with co-actors from the two top networks: Carla Abellana, Camille Prats from GMA and Ejay Falcon, Denise Laurel from ABS-CBN. “Siempre kabado ako noong una kasi akong pinakabago sa kanila, but they all turned out to be nice to work with, pati na si Direk Aloy Adlawan na ngayon ko rin lang nakatrabaho.”

What’s his role? “I play Camille Prats’ husband. Pero may hiwagang nakabalot sa pagkatao namin. Eventually, magtataka ang viewers: ano ba kami, multo o evil creatures lang? Nakakatakot talaga ang buong concept ng movie. Tiyak na nenerbyusin ang viewers sa pagsunod nila kay Carla nang matuklasan nito ang isang village full of the undead. Kaya ang mahihilig sa horror movies, humanda na sila kasi kakaibang uri ng pananakot ang dala ng ‘Third Eye’.”

TV5 Exposes the Perks and Downside of Being Famous in "JasMine"

TV5 Exposes the Perks and Downside of Being Famous in "JasMine"

TV5, together with the leading media innovator Unitel Productions and advertising genius Ace Saatchi & Saatchi come up with a TV project set to expose the pros and cons of being a famous celebrity.
This newest mystery-suspense mini drama series called "JasMine," starring Best Supporting Actress awardee Jasmine Curtis-Smith will uncover the convenience, perks, greatness the entertainment industry has to offer. And so its downside...a very dangerous, threatening impact of being a well-known, award-winning showbiz star.
Blurring the boundaries between fiction and realities, Jasmine plays a fictional character of herself  -   same name and the same profile as an indie actress crossing over to mainstream productions, The conflict starts when she finds some industry enemies after being paired with the fictional network’s top artist Alexis Vergara (Vin Abrenica) and then it gets even worse when a mysterious and creepy stalker named "Maskara" appears to make her life a living hell.
During the blogcon held Thursday afternoon at Goldilocks Shaw Blvd in Mandaluyong, Jasmine describes the show as "a mix of fiction and reality so basically the audience they really have to figure out what’s real and what’s not. But, of course it’s a peg of Entourage where the characters are playing their own names but of course their personalities are a bit more made up and fiction because also we have to portray a story line."
Aside from Jasmine and Vin Abrenica, "JasMine" also stars CLICK HERE.

Jonalyn Viray Denies She’s The Reason Why La Diva Disbanded (2 Photos)

PINOY POP SUPERSTAR first winner Jonalyn Viray celebrates her 9th year in showbiz with a major solo concert, “Jonalyn: Fearless”, on Friday, February 28, 8pm at the Music Museum. Why is the title “Fearless”?

“Kasi magiging fearless ako sa pagkanta,” she says. “I’ll step out of my comfort zone and sing all the songs na before, I’m afraid to sing. Of course, I’ll also sing the songs na nagustuhan sa’kin ng tao, like ‘Close to Where You Are’ that’s composed by Danny Tan, the theme song of ‘Darna’ na ‘Di Na Nag-iisa’, the theme song of ‘My Husband’s Lover’ composed by Tata Betita na ‘Help Me Get Over You’, ‘Makita Kang Muli’ from the Koreanovela ‘Padam Padam’ and ‘Sa Piling Mo’ from the Mexicanovela ‘Lola’. But I can also apply the title to my life right now, kasi fearless na ako in facing all the challenges na dumarating sa buhay ko. Dati kasi, I get affected pag may nanlalait, like when I won na ang sabi, sino ba yan? Maliit na, ang itim pa. Masakit, pero dahil doon, natuto akong mag-ayos at magsalita with more self confid ence. Now, when I hear things like that, ini-ignore ko na lang. ”

Is she really the reason why her trio with Maricris Garcia and Aicelle Santos, La Diva, was disbanded? “That’s not true. It was a mutual decision with management. Kasi 5 years na rin kami together and we all want to grow individually as we all started naman as solo singers. Wala kaming samaan ng loob.”

How come she didn’t show up when GMA hosted a surprise birthday party for Aicelle two weeks ago whereas Maricris was there? “Simply because I wasn’t informed. Hindi ko talaga nabalitaan. Ni hindi ako na-text. Siguro rin, dahil may gigs ako noon sa abroad.”

Her guests in “Fearless” are Regine Velasquez, Kuh Ledesma and her “Pinoy Pop Superstar” colleague Brennan Espartinez. How come she didn’t invite Aicelle and Maricris to join her? “It’s the decision of the producer. Kasi nga naman, if I’m cultivating a solo career that will establish my individuality as a singer, dapat wala muna yung mga dating identified with me. But I will invite them to watch the concert and it’s up to them if they want to watch or not.”

Is she willing to go into theatre like Aicelle who’s getting great feedback as the lead in “Rak of Aegis”? “Actually, I was told to audition there and I did. I was then told that I qualified for the major role but nagkaproblema kasi kasama ako sa ‘My Husband’s Lover’ concert tour sa U.S. at matagal akong mawawala. So I begged off kasi baka hindi ko ma-fulfill ang rehearsal skeds nila. I hope they’ll still get me next time.”

“Fearless” is directed by Dennis Marasigan, who also helmed Jonalyn in the movie, “Cattleya: An OFW Story”, where she played the best friend of drug mule Glaiza de Castro to open in theaters on Wednesday. For tickets to “Fearless” produced by GMA Network and Creative Media Entertainment, with Soc Mina as musical director, get them at ticketworld.com.ph and Music Museum, tel. 721-6726.

Zsa Zsa Padilla and Yael Yuzon React to Karylle - Vice Ganda Fued

The (non) issue between "It's Showtime" hosts Vice Ganda and Karylle, with Yael Yuzon - Karylle’s husband-to-be (as collateral damage?), has already gone out of control. With Vice talking non-stop about their so-called feud while Karylle remains to be calm and mum about the issue, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Yael Yuzon surfaced providing their thoughts on the issue.
On her Instagram account, the Divine Diva posted a Bible verse she thought fitted to what her daughter has been going through recently: “He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friend. – Proverbs 17:9.” She went on by posting, “I am troubled by all the news I have been hearing. And just like you, I turn to Jesus for answers. I went on line to look for a verse to give me some courage and this is what I found. Thank you Jesus. Your love overflows.”
Yael, on the other hand, has this message released for Vice, “I do not discriminate against gay people and I would never say anything na ganun.”

Vice Ganda to Karylle: "She needs me in her career more than I need her!"

It seems like friendship is really over between Vice Ganda and Karylle (read reasons how their rift started HERE)
In addition to what he mentioned in his previous interview, Vice continue to aim fire on Karylle when he claimed that the actress-host was the one getting all the advantage in their loveteam, "Ayaw kong sabihin, pero let’s face it, let’s be realistic, mas makakatulong ‘yon sa kanya [Karylle] kaysa sa akin.

“Huwag niyo naman sana masamain ang sinabi ko. Pero hindi ko naman talaga kailangan ng loveteam dahil hindi rin naman ako teen star at hindi rin naman ako heartthrob. Komedyante ako, ang mga pelikula ko ay patawa.

"Hindi ko kailangang manloko ng mga tao na sweet-sweet-an kami nito.”

Has Nikki Gil found someone new?

Months after their split,  Nikki Gil and Billy Crawford have moved on.

Billy has admitted  courting "It's Showtime" co-host Coleen Garcia,  while Nikki recently revealed in the February 19 episode of "Kris TV" that she’s dating a non-showbiz guy.

‘It felt right’

"It felt right," Nikki said about dating the new guy, whom she met through their common friends.

Nikki tried meeting other men after her breakup with Billy. But she didn't want to just 'go and explore' as she prefers  someone who meets her qualifications.

"Binigyan ko rin naman yung chance yung self ko to meet, pero kasi hindi ko kaya. I don't want to play the game.”

Nikki reveals that the guy , 29, has an “adult job."

"I mean, sobrang different from what we do," she told Kris.

Nikki’s standards

When it comes to finding someone special, Nikki looks for a guy who is "godly, tall and has work."  She shared that she’ doesn’t go on dates for the sake of dating and meeting people.

"Kapag wala yung mga iyon, huwag na lang. Parang waste of time, kung magkaiba kami ng values.".

Her strong Christian beliefs makes a deep relationship with God very important to Nikki .

"Hindi lang yung masabi lang na nagsisimba. I want someone that actually has a deep relationship with God. At siyempre, (dapat) may endorsement ng friends."

Forgetting Billy

Nikki admitted she no longer thinks of Billy. But she’s not jaded when it comes to love.

"Kasi parang alam mo na it's not like that all the time. Parang ito (past) ay nagkataon lang. That love isn't supposed to be like that. Hindi siya dapat masakit at hindi ka dapat iiyak."

Nikki and Billy’s relationship lasted six years.  In a TV interview  where he admitted the breakup, an emotional Billy  revealed that he had to go on his own because  he was confused  and wanted to rediscover himself.
