The Voice Kids' Darren Espanto vs Lyca Gairanod at MYX Music Awards 2015

The Voice Philippines' coach Sarah Geronimo, host Toni Gonzaga and The Voice Kids champion Lyca Gairanod and her runner-up Darren Espanto dominate MYX Music Awards 2015 nominations.

The MYX Music Awards 2015 nominees were announced last night, and among them are those from 'The Voice Philippines' getting many nominations in different categories.

Coach Sarah Geronimo and her songs are nominated for Favorite Music Video, Favorite Artist, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Remake and Favorite Media Soundtrack (shared with fellow The Voice Philippines coach apl.de.ap and 'Forevermore' star Enrique Gil).

Toni Gonzaga who hosts 'The Voice Philippines' got 3 nods: Favorite Song, Favorite Female Artist, and Favorite MYX Celebrity VJ.

Darren Espanto and Lyca Gairanod meanwhile, the top competitors of The Voice Kids Season 1, are once again up against each other, this time in this year's MYX Music Awards, both nominees in 2 same categories: Favorite New Artist and Favorite Remake. Many believed then that Darren should have been The Voice Kids grand winner, and it's interesting to find out on next month's awards ceremony if he's gonna emerge victorious over Lyca.

Zanjoe Marudo and Beauty Gonzales' natural onscreen chemistry has charmed TV viewers who are now hooked on the budding romance of Baste (Zanjoe) and Alex (Beauty) in ABS-CBN's charming primetime drama series "Dream Dad."

Based on data from Kantar Media, "Dream Dad's" episode last Monday (February 16), which featured Baste and Alex's romantic bonding moment, scored a national TV rating of 28.6%. It is 12 points higher compared to its rival program on GMA "More Than Words" (16.6%).

Aside from the ratings, the 'BaLex' (Baste and Alex) love team also conquered social networking sites such as Twitter where 'Jacket o Yakap' became a nationwide trending topic because of Baste's sweet gesture to offer his jacket to Alex while they were hanging out.

Gov. Joey Salceda to Xian Lim: "No Forgiveness Deserved"

ABS-CBN - "No forgiveness deserved." This is the message of Albay Governor Joey Salceda to Xian Lim after the actor refused to wear a shirt promoting their province.

In his Facebook page, Salceda claimed that Lim insulted his staff from the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office and his fellow Albayanos when he did not accept the Albay shirt and coffee table book.

"We expected something better from him since he is not a terrorist, instead an artist. No forgiveness deserved," he wrote.

Albay Governor Joey Salceda Listed Down Bad Traits that Form Part of Xian Lim as a Person


Is Xian Lim the target of yet another bad publicity? Or maybe he, actually, is.

Early today, Xian became the subject of online tirade brought about by the sentiments, reportedly, of Albay, Bicol public officials during his recent appearance at the Fiesta Tsinoy Festival in Legazpi City.

But despite putting an uncontainable happiness to his fans who attended the festivities at the Albay Astrodome on Thursday, it also brought him another allegations of being "rude".

According to Atty. Carol Sabio-Cruz, the chief of staff of Albay governor Joey Salceda and and Head of Albay's cultural office, Xian not just refused to wear a shirt depicting the Mayon Volcano with the text "Albay", the actor also shooed her away while saying "I did not come here to promote Albay."



 
"When I came over to see him sabi ko, 'We have something for you. [Pero] hindi ko naipakita sa kanya [yung shirt] because when I was trying to unfold it, hinawi na niya 'yung kamay ko na, 'Ayoko niyan.'"

"So, okay, 'Coffee table [book] nalang,' sabi ko. Kasi parang napahiya ako, eh. Nung binasa niya, sabi niya, 'I did not come here to promote Albay.'" she said.

 






Meanwhile, Albay Gover Joey Salceda, in his latest Facebook post, slams Xian for his "bastos" behavior. The Governor even questioned the actor's integerity as a person and how his parents raised him as a person.  To quote:



"Xian Lim says in my face (Atty Carol) while handing the coffee table book in front of many - "I'm not here to promote albay"." If his road manager checks his record, Albay paid for his many guestings since way back 2011 when his talent fee was just P75.000 (Ginoo ni Magayon) and now P350,000 for Fiesta Tsinoy Albay. Its either 1. His parents did not raise him well. 2. He had bad education. 3. He is not managed well. 4. His character is inversely proportional to his looks. 5. He is on something.


As of this writing, the call to declare Xian as "persona non grata" in the town of Albay is getting intense with some Albayano's putting the call on social networking sites and local radio station.

Ordinary staff ng PTCAO ang ininsulto at hiniya ni Xian Lim. Together with ordinary Albayanos, they are the ones who work hard, silently and patiently for Albay tourism. And based on the prevarications on his posts, he is not getting it. 1. Hindi namin pinapasuot ang Tshirt sa guests. Binibigay lang 2. The mere fact that coffee book table is called Warm Albay and the tshirt is Warm Albay should already be obvious that these are typical touristic materials. the PTCAO incident morally approximates the cruelty and brutality in Maguindanao, and what's worse we did not pay the MILF P350,000 to do it and we expected something better from him since he is not a terrorist, instead an artist. No forgiveness deserved.

LYING 101
We give all our guests touristic materials. One of them is a Warm Albay tshirt, not "I love Albay" tshirt. This proves he did not see the Tshirt since with so much gallantry, he shooed the staff trying na "iabot sa kanya" evidently for that one photo shot at fame.
LYING 102
You can ask thousands of guests we host at PTCAO if we ever ask them to wear it. Never, we just give it to them so they have souvenir.
LYING 103
The issue is he said "I AM NOT HERE TO PROMOTE ALBAY". Our chief-of-staff posted it as a comment as early as 1pm yesterday. We did not upload it because we did not want to affect the Fiesta Tsinoy affair.
Since we paid ABSCBN Starmagic for his services, we expect them to be fair in reporting this hurtful PTCAO incident. Ordinary PTCAO working staff ang hiniya at ininsulto niya.

In his latest statement, Gov. Salcesa said it's up to Albay provincial board to declare Xian as "persona non grata" in the town of Albay in Bicol.

Should Xian ask for an apology, is he willing to give it to him? "No forgiveness deserved."

Daniel Padilla Gets The Most Number of Nominations in MYX Music Awards 2015


The list of nominees for this year's MYX Music Awards was unveiled on Thursday, February 19 at K-Pub BBQ in Trinoma Mall.

The set of nominees features young and new recording artists like James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Maja Salvador and Kathryn Bernardo. Also in the list are The Voice Kids grand winner Lyca Gairanod and runner-up Darren Espanto and previous year's big winners Gloc 9, Sarah Geronimo and Yeng Constantino, among others.

Heechul reveals he received a drunken call from Song Ji Hyo for saying ‘Running Man’ is childish

Super Junior’s Heechul shares one of his stories when he was telling of by drunken Song Ji Hyo for his bad mouthing about ‘Running Man’.

He said during the broadcast of KBS’s ‘Happy Together 3’s Lunar New Year Special on February 19th,”I mentioned ‘Running Man’ on ‘War of Words’ before and the articles later came out with title ‘Heechul doesn’t watch ‘Running Man’ because it’s childish’, Song Ji Hyo called me while she was drunk and said,”How could you do that?””.

He continued,”What I said was I find ‘Running Man’ childish at times, but there are many children and adults who love it because of that. Afterwards ‘Running Man’ invited me to appear on the show and I refused it, but I accepted it after I got a phone call from Ji Suk Jin”.

Xian Lim clarifies issue which Gov. Joey Salceda accused of him

Xian Lim was deeply upset about an article which quoted him saying "I am not here to promote Albay" which he vehemently denied as it was something he would never say.

In a Facebook post of Albay Governor Joey Salceda, Lim was slammed by the governor for allegedly refusing to promote the province. Salceda even brought up how Xian's talent fee ballooned from PHP 75,000 in 2011 to P350,000 this year.


On his Twitter account, Lim clarified that it was not the promotion of the province he refused to do but  the t-shirt they wanted him to wear. A coffee table book which came with a t-shirt was handed on to him when he visited the province for Fiesta Tsinoy Albay. According to him,

“My exact words to her were 'Sorry po, hindi ko maisuot yung tshirt kasi baka magka-conflict sa clothing endorsement ko. Pasensya na po,'” saad ni Xian.

But words were different when it reached the author of the book, "Ayaw daw niya." Lim insisted that he loves Albay and will always be happy to be there with its good people. In the end, he apologized to the governor and the people of Albay for a misunderstanding between them.

“I deeply apologize to Gov. Salceda and the people of Albay for the misunderstanding about my reasons for refusal to wear the t shirt.”


In a separate post, Lim also stressed that he was raised by his parents well, be generous to everyone and that his management taught him about decency and humility. This was in connection to Salceda's Facebook post accusing him of not being raised well or  that he was on something.

Super Junior Heechul was a guest on the February 19th episode of ‘Happy Together Season 3′ wherein the debate concerning Park Myung Soo’s hitting Seolhyun’s head on ‘Brave Family’ resurfaced.

After receiving mixed criticisms, Park Myung Soo responded that he didn’t hit Seolhyun’s head in a way how netizens see it. However, Heechul expressed about the matter,

“For me it looked like you hit Seolhyun. I think woman shouldn’t be hit,” in which Park Myung Soo commented, “It’s barely calm now anyway,” and brought laughter to the set.

David Pomeranz Launches Greatest Hits Album With New Song 'Crazy Beautiful' As Carrier Single

DAVID POMERANZ is in town. He celebrated his birthday on February 9 on the plane that flew him to Manila and he then gave free concerts for his Filipino fans, first at Subic on Feb. 12 and then at Rizal Park on Feb. 14. “The Valentine concert is very memorable,” he says. “More than 15,000 people came. I also got to take my wife and teenage son to Boracay.”

One of the most prolific hit makers today, he now releases his greatest hits album from PolyEast Records. David gave quite a good show during its launch and also sang a rousing new song dedicated to his wife and 13-year old son. He has made so many hits, among them “Got to Believe in Magic” and “King and Queen of Hearts” that were sang in the hit 1982 movie, “Zapped”, starring Scott Baio (remade by Disney as a TV movie last year.)

Enrique Gil admits having feelings towards Liza Soberano

The Forevermore leading man, Enrique Gil finally admits that he already likes his leading woman, Liza Soberano. 

But Enrique is aware that there are limitation especially with their age difference. He will be turning 23 on March 30 while Liza just turned 17 last 4th of January. 

Superman cleared that he is no officially courting Liza. He said that in an interview on "Aquino&Abunda Tonght". He said that Liza understands all his intentions. 

They already talked about it and seemed to come up with restrictions and understandings. "Pero may understanding kami. 'Okay, gusto kita.' Siya naman, she understands how I feel. Sabi niya... May usapan naman kami na alam niya na hindi pa puwede kasi 17 lang siya. Siguro pag 18 na raw siya." Enrique said.

They first had the chance to work together when they had a cameo role on the KathNiel film, "Must be Love" the followed by another role when they played as bestfriends on "She's the One".

Enrique said that Liza Soberano is the closest friend that he has on the showbi right now. They are bestfriends.
