SHOW DESCRIPTION: Destined to be Yours is a Philippine romantic-comedy and drama television series that will be broadcast by GMA Network headlining the AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. It is the love team's very first television series after appearing on the Kalyeserye segment of Eat Bulaga! that concluded on December 17, 2016. It is set to premiere on February 27, 2017 replacing Alyas Robin Hood on GMA Telebabad primetime block and worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV. The television show follows the story of star-crossed lovers Sinag (Mendoza) and Benjie (Richards).

Sinag Obispo (Maine Mendoza) is a DJ in a community radio station at her hometown of Pelangi. The paradise-like town of Pelangi was formerly a well-developed municipality due to its flourishing mining industry but many people were forced to leave the town after mining firms closed down. Sinag stayed behind because she loves her hometown and she wants to preserve the traditions and culture of the place through the community radio station whom she inherited from her grandfather.

Meanwhile, Benjie Rosales (Alden Richards) just graduated as an architect. His father died when he was young and his mother, Amanda (Lotlot de Leon), solely raised him. Unknown to Benjie, his grandfather, Vicente Rosales (Tommy Abuel), is a real-estate tycoon and her mother suddenly encourages him to contact the Rosales kin. Upon meeting the Rosales household, the family did not fully welcome Benjie except for his grandmother, Helen (Boots Anson-Roa), who convinced Benjie to work at their real estate company.

As Benjie accepts the job, he was assigned to a project at Pelangi where he is destined to meet Sinag. Their life will eventually change and intertwine as they fall in love with each other.

SHOW DESCRIPTION: Beginning November 10, GMA News and Public Affairs - the only four-time Peabody Award recipient in the country – unveils dynamic changes in its award winning newscasts, particularly in GMA7's primetime newscast 24 Oras, late-night news source Saksi and midday news bulletin Balitanghali on GMA News TV.

24 Oras' formidable and time-tested tandem of Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez will welcome veteran journalist Vicky Morales as their newest co-anchor. Joining forces, they become the triumvirate to beat on primetime news.

24 Oras has been a household name since 2004 when GMA News and Public Affairs launched what would be the Kapuso Network's flagship nationwide primetime newscast. The program has since served the need of viewers for non-biased and balanced news, and later even extended broadcast to include weekends.

Monday will also see the rebranding of GMA's regional newscasts into the 24 Oras brand, delivering the news in the distinct 24 Oras style all over the country.

Late-night news source Saksi, led by Arnold Clavio, meanwhile, will have Pia Arcangel on board as its newest co-anchor. Seasoned broadcast journalist Connie Sison, on the other hand, will take over as Raffy Tima's co-anchor in the leading midday newscast Balitanghali, which airs daily on GMA News TV.

Weekend news program 24Oras Weekend will still be headlined by Jiggy Manicad and Pia Arcangel, while Mariz Umali and Jun Veneracion anchor Balitanghali Weekend.

With new anchors on board, expect these fortified news programs to continue providing the public with balanced and unbiased news.

"These changes reflect our goal to inject a new dynamism to our newscasts, while still remaining true to our commitment to Serbisyong Totoo— the hallmark of GMA News and Public Affairs," says Senior Vice President for News and Public Affairs Marissa L. Flores.

24 Oras airs from Monday to Friday at 6:30PM and Saksi at 11:00PM, while 24 Oras Weekend airs at 5:30PM every Saturday and Sunday on GMA 7. Balitanghali, meanwhile, airs weekdays at 11:30AM. Balitanghali Weekend airs at 12nn on GMA News TV.

ALDUB THEME SONG is Number 1 in iTunes: TADHANA by Denise Barbacena

So how is the first Aldub teleserye faring? As expected, the two rating agencies are proclaiming their respective champions. Almost as expected, the familiar Twitter deluge was there, almost a signature Aldub phenomenon.

And, well, the theme song is the top song at iTunes too. Nice song & singer.

PBB Lucky Season 7 Big Winner is Maymay Entrata! #PBBTheBigWinner

Pinoy Big Brother's longest season ever, spanning almost 8 months, has finally ended.

Held at the Alonte Sports Arena earlier, PBB Lucky Season 7 Big Night had 4 remaining housemates, all teens, being named Lucky Big Winner (winning P1M cash, house & lot, Asian Tour package for 2), 2nd Lucky Big Placer (taking home half a million pesos), 3rd Lucky Big Placer (with P300,000 cash prize) and 4th Lucky Big Placer (getting P200,000).

Named Lucky Big Winner was Maymay Entrata from Cagayan de Oro, with 42.71% of the votes. She becomes the 8th female Big Winner of PBB, 14th over-all.

Kisses Delavin meanwhile was declared the 2nd Lucky Big Placer, with votes percentage of 31.27%.

It was actually only the 2nd time in PBB history that two girl housemates emerged in the Top 2. The first was during PBB Teen Edition 4 with Myrtle Sarrosa and Karen Reyes as the Big Winner and 2nd Big Placer respectively.

Yong Muhajil came in 3rd with 21.52%, while Edward Barber placed 4th with 4.49%.
