Japan, on Sunday, marks the first anniversary of the devastating earthquake and tsunami which struck the north-eastern coast, leaving about 19,000 dead or few thousand more missing.
With silence, prayers and anti-nuclear rallies, the Japan government remembered those who suffered from the magnitude 9 earthquake that unleashed a tsunami that hit the northeast coast part of the country killing its people, destructing billions of properties and set off a nuclear crisis that shattered public trust in atomic power and their leaders.
