It will be recalled that Amalia didn’t welcome Annabelle at the wake of her (Amalia’s) estranged husband, Joey Stevens, during the Holy Week. The conflict spilled over on Twitter.
Albert hopes Amalia and Annabelle will be able to talk out their differences and make peace with each other.
“Wala naman sigurong gulo na hindi maayos and one of these days doon din tutulak iyan at magkakabati din iyan. Hopefully, nobody gets hurt in the process,” Albert said at the press conference of “Princess and I” on Wednesday, April 11, at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.
Albert admitted he wasn’t aware of the issue between Amalia and Annabelle as he was busy shooting “Princess and I” until a friend mentioned it to him.
He feels sad for the situation, knowing that showbiz is just a small world.
Feeling bad
“I feel bad not necessarily for my mother-in-law or Tita Annabelle. I feel bad na within the industry ay magkakagulo gulo tayo, in general ha. Kasi it's a small family, small industry,” he said.
He thinks the problems should “be dealt (with) privately.”
“So, parang if there's any problem, siguro it should be dealt privately not in the social networking site,” Albert said.
Albert describes his role in “Princess and I”: “Being an actor and playing the role of a king is a great experience. It is something na hindi ko pa nagawa before. The reason why I accepted this is I’m working with a power-packed team. Everything is top-notch, so how can you say no to this kind of project.”
Albert shot some of his scenes in Bhutan, together with Gretchen Barretto, Kathryn Bernardo, and Enrique Gil. “Princess and I” premieres in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida on Monday, April 16.
