Jake Cuenca Wins Best Actor at New York International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM)
Jake Cuenca was named Best Actor at the recently concluded International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) in New York City for his acting performance in a local independent film “Mulat.”
“You express something that you really believe in. Regardless if it makes money or if people watch it.” Jake said in his acceptance speech held on October 23, at the Philippine Consulate, New York.
Jake, on his Twitter account, expressed his happiness about being recognized for the first time for his acting capability.

The film director Diane Ventura on the other hand won the Best Director - Global Feature Award.
In the film, Jake falls for a mysterious woman (Loren Burgos) with a “strange mental affliction.” His character clashes with Ryan Eigenmann, who portrays the other strong male character in the story.
