Is Louise delos Reyes ditching her goody-two shoes image for a Miley Cyrus-rebellious look?
The Kapuso star said she’s not there yet—even after cutting her hair short, growing her collection of piercing and trying a henna tattoo to see if a permanent one would look good on her.
"Okay naman siyang tingnan for me, pero siguro (hindi ko naman sinasabing bad example ‘yung mga may tattoo, I mean it’s their body) I guess hindi pa ito 'yung right time to put tattoo on my skin,” she told Yahoo Philippines at a recent charity event to celebrate her 22nd birthday.
She added that her plans to get inked will take a backseat for now.
"Not this time. Kasi ang dami nang nagsasabi sa'kin na nagpaputol ako ng buhok tapos ang dami kong piercing. So it’s not the right time. Baka sabihin nila, ‘Miley Cyrus, is that you?’ No!”
Clean slate
Louise let go of her mid-back hair ahead of her 22nd birthday last September 1.
“Ang babae, vain talaga with the hair. Sa short hair ko, mas naging kampante ako sa sarili ko na without anything on my hair, magiging okay ako, magiging okay ang [pananaw] ko. It has a deeper meaning for me.”
She also took one month off after wrapping up her series “Kambal Sirena” to engage in activities that kept her grounded, one of which is reconnecting with friends way back in her pre-showbiz years.
But her week-long trip to Sagada with best friend Louisse Carreon was the best for her.
“Gusto ko munang i-enjoy 'yung time ko with my friends, with my family, so nagpunta ako ng Sagada."
The much-needed break helped Louise get back into the rhythm of work.
“Napagod ka kahit papa'no sa sistema ng show business, so parang kailangan mong ma-refresh. Kinailangan ko talaga para maibalik ko ang drive ko sa trabaho.”
Never getting back with Enzo
The GMA star doesn’t see herself reconciling with ex-boyfriend Enzo Pineda because she has “realized” a lot of things.
“Ako kasi, ang dami ko nang na-realize. Kasama dun sa realization ko yung let go, let go na lang lahat ng grudges. Kung meron ka mang bad blood against someone, talagang ni-let go ko na 'yon and mas gusto kong mag-focus on my craft.”
Managing rift with Kylie
Louise is glad she and Kylie Padilla have finally exchanged hi’s and hello’s after their reported rift. Rumors have it that Louise was the third party behind Kylie’s breakup with Aljur Abrenica, her co-star in “Kambal Sirena."
“Hindi pa kami nakapag-usap, pero nagbatian na kami, so I think that’s a good start also. Pero I’m not rushing things. If may mga taong hindi pa okay na makausap ako or makipag-eye contact sa akin, I’m not rushing naman.”
Speaking of Aljur, the GMA Artist Center talent said she’s all for the happiness of her good friend who’s fighting for the termination of his GMA contract.
"Kung meron man siyang personal issues about his work, ibigay na lang natin sa kanya. Sinabi ko na ito sa kanya, kung saan siya masaya, kung ano yung desisyon sa tingin niya mas makakabuti sa kanya, in the long run, dun ako.”
