"It's Showtime" was the most-watched noontime variety program on Saturday, when it aired its Bida Kapamilya grand finals episode.The ABS-CBN noontime show beat TAPE's long-running variety program "Eat Bulaga" on Saturday (October 22) in nationwide TV ratings, according to the latest from Kantar Media.
"It's Showtime" garnered 16.4% nationwide audience share, compared to the GMA-7-aired program's 15.5%.
During the Saturday episode of "It's Showtime," nine families staged their Bida Kapamilya performances before nine "hurados" and the "madlang people," in hopes of emerging champion in the seventh edition of the noontime show's talent competition.
Earning a perfect score from all nine judges for their all-out pop-"birit" sing-and-dance number, the Gollayan family bested over 200 contestants who joined Bida Kapamilya this season.
As "Showtime" grand champion, the Gollayan family took home P1 million.
